My Questions:
What Upgrades/Armor are the ones that give out the Permanent Upgrades to the SPECIAL System or increase Resistance? So far I know of are:
Advance Power Armor +4 STR
Zeta Scan +1-2 LCK/-1 LCK
Blue Module +1 CHA
Mirrored Shades +2 CHA

Any help on where I can find the other Upgrade items and their said upgrades?

Drop both boxing gloves - they don't do much damage. Keep in mind the skilled unarmed attacks (jab, hammer punch, etc., described on pages 93-94 of the manual), which have bonuses to damage, critical chance, and/or are armor piercing. They may be better than the weapon you have at the time.

You'll be getting shot a lot more, since you need to run up to each enemy before you can attack them, so consider putting another point or two into endurance. Having first aid and doctor high enough to recover some hit points could be useful.

As a gameplay strategy, you may want to hold off on some of the bigger fights until you have a few more levels and hit points. Heading down to New Reno fairly early on (i.e. via Klamath, Den, Redding) for the boxing bonuses will help quite a bit.

Only 5 Endurance? You're going to be a bullet sponge for a great many of the battles you'll be in, extra HP is pretty important.

5 STR is going to make the early game really difficult, too.

The INT skillpoint bonus is nice but the points could be better used in either STR or END, CHR could also be taken down a peg or two, as well.

As an unarmed character your main focus is physical apptitude, not diplomacy. Every mook in the desert has a ranged weapon of some sort, so the combat odds are stacked highly against you.

EDIT: Sorry had to cut the post short, I had to stop my crazy uncle from using my car's ice scraper for shoveling the stairs. :|

I'll miss that scraper. It was a good tool. :(

Anyway, you should drop speech for a support skill as previously stated.

Just think of it like this: Mr. T played a great hand to hand fighter in The A-Team, the only thing he had no time for was jibba-jabba.

ST 7
PE 7
EN 2
CH 2
IN 10
AG 10
LK 10

Gifted. Small Frame.
Tag: Unarmed, Speech, Doctor

Perks to aim for: More criticals, Better Criticals, Bonus HtH Attacks, Action Boy. By the time Slayer is available, you can pretty much do whatever the hell you want.

At the early levels, forget Awareness, go for Medic or Thief, one of those that give you skill points in an area you won't have any to spend on for a while. Heck, I've even chosen the perk that ups your outdoorsman, so that I could avoid some of those random fights in the desert. "You are level 5. You are armed with brass knuckles. Sulik has a sledgehammer. You have 6 stimpacks. Do you wish to encounter Some Robbers? They will have hunting rifles, and there will be eight of them." HELL NO I DON'T!

Get your unarmed skill up to 100% by the time you talk to John Sullivan in Klamath. That way he bumps you up to 110%. He gives you for free the more expensive points.

Forget lockpicking until later in the game when you have skill points to spare. Questwise, get your unarmed up, then your speech to 100%. After that, doctor. Then science. Only then, lockpicking. You'll miss out on some early swag, but you'll need speech, doctor and science for the "good" quests.

If you're worried about hps, drop points from PE. You'll miss one or two smaller quests and you'll fail a couple PE checks. For instance, you won't see the children pickpocketing you. But you can assume they did and "steal" them to check if they got anything.

This is obviously a min/max build, but if you're going for something like "Unarmed Only," you gotta really swing things in your favor. Your build is too balanced, I think.

Misteryo

P.S. I almost forgot. When "Tag" becomes available, take it. By that time, you will have gotten some skill up to 100%, like lockpicking or science. "Tag" that skill and then lower it back to the level you had. All of a sudden you have hundreds of skill points. All your suffering will be over at that point.

Advanced Power Armor: +4 ST
Red Module: +1 ST
Green Module: +1 PE
Blue Module: +1 CH
Mirrored Shades +1 CH
Yellow Module: +1 IN
Zeta scan: +1 IN, +1 LK (San Fran) or +2 LK (NCR)
Assault combat implants: -1 CH each

There are also the seven Gain Foo perks. Per's walkthrough describes where all of these can be found.

Heres another one I made, Its more powerful later on once you finally get the 10mm Pistol in the Rat Cave

5 STR
6 PER
4 END
6 CHA
9 INT
10 AGI
8 LCK

Or I could switch the PER and LCK making it 5 LCK and 9 PER

Small Guns
Speech
Lockpick

And I thought the Zeta Scan was more of like this:
+1-2 LCK or -1 LCK

Fallout 2 Unofficial Build Discussion Topic

Basically this Topic is for Players to put in and discuss your Builds *unofficially*, To qualify for a Build your Character must not be Edited in anyway whatsoever i.e:10 in S-P-E-C-I-A-L.

Ok I'll begin:

The Super Sniper
This Build focuses on maximizing the amount of Range possible and still being able to recruit 3 Party Members and finish most and all Quests

SPECIAL Stats:
4 STR
5 PER
3 END
5 CHA
8 INT
8 AGI
4 LCK

Tagged Skills:
Small Guns
Speech
Lockpick

-O-

Balanced Brawler
The Balanced Brawler is a Build which allows the Character to still be able to finish all Quests and be a Melee Based Class

SPECIAL Stats:
4 STR
5 PER
5 END
5 CHA
8 INT
9 AGI
4 LCK

Tagged Skills:
Unarmed/Melee Weapons
Speech
Lockpick/Sneak

Traits:
Gifted
Small Frame/One Hander

Note: If you go with Small Frame you can get 6 END which gives slightly more HP but Lifegiver will compensate for that anyway so I suggest you just go with One Hander to gain a % Bonus from the Mega Power Fist *drools*

-O-

Master Fighter
This is the Strongest type of Melee-Based Character but suffers greatly in Skill Points and will only be able to recruit only 1 NPC and do less Quests

SPECIAL Stats:
4 STR
4 PER
7 END
1 CHA
8 INT
10 AGI
7 LCK

Tagged Skills:
Unarmed/Melee Weapons
Sneak
Doctor/First Aid

Traits:
Gifted
One Hander

-O-

Lucky Sniper
The Lucky Sniper is a variant of the Super Sniper in which they have a better chance of doing Criticals thanks to their improved LCK

SPECIAL Stats:
4 STR
5 PER
3 END
5 CHA
8 INT
9 AGI
7 LCK

Tagged Skills:
Small Weapons
Speech
Lockpick

Traits:

Unfortunately I cannot participate in this thread as all my builds are official ones owned by Interplay. They like to have a lawyer around whenever I play the game.

help for creating character

Well can u suggest me some of the best builds?
weapons?
energy weapons?
everything... thx
what about fast shot or finesse?

There is no "best" build. It depends on your playing style...

A trait that will help your character very much (too much?) is gifted.

And for someone needing help with a good build your signature is sure strange...

Big Guns works best with Fast Shot since you can't make aimed shots anyway...

Also, Bonus Ranged Damage is awesome with Big Guns since it gives an additional +2 damage to each bullet, great with fast firing burst weapons like the miniguns and the bozar.

Fast Shot + Bonus ROF + 2x Bonus RD + Sniper will make you an unstoppable killing machine with Big Guns...

Energy Weapons OTOH are all one shot weapons except for the gatling, so Fast Shot isn't as good since you'll probably want to aim. Build should be the same as diplo-sniper but you can just tag EW later on (since you won't get the weapons early on anyway).
