Someone beat Fallout: New Vegas without healing

That is pretty funny. A lot less annoying when you don't have to listen to all that stupid dialogue. Still plenty of stupid, though.

"We murdered Threedog, the most memorable and beloved character of the entire franchise." Mmm yes.

Maybe by the entire franchise they meant just Fallout 3 and DLCs. I really hope. And I doubt that going around killing everything is really fun, at least not without mods, since shooting in vanilla Fallout 3 is so bad.

Indeed. But ... it is clear that the game was never designed for such ... reality, leading to rather comical situations, which are kinda symptomatic for Fallout 3 - or most Bethesda games actually ...

I'm not sure but I do not think he played the game on 'Very Hard' since you can easily run into groups of Legion/NCR in the early stages and do not stand a chance. Personally I only play New Vegas on Very Hard + Hardcore + No Fast Travel.

I can't play any of the new fallouts without fast travel, walking the empty space between towns is extremely dull and time consuming. So, for realism, I got an improved fast-travel mod with random encounters (closer to original travel) + car fast travel (for encounter-less but fuel consuming and limited travel), imposing limitations on how it's used.

I'd love to do something like this, but because I know all of the dialogue options, who to talk to, where to go and when, etc, I feel a key part of that 'one shot' style of playing is lost. Feels like those things work best hand in hand. I very vaguely recall the people behind MGS saying they wanted to make a full length game without any save of life system. As you can imagine, the idea got vetoed, but I would like to try it...
