Someone finally painstakingly beat Fallout 4 without killing anything

The only thing I want with those clowns, is for the group on the Crater to die of cancer.

Idea for a mod, turn their completely useless settlement into a bunch of corpses.

Killed them all when I went there for the Virgil quest. Didn't even really try either; they aggro'd when I jumped off a hut in my power armor, so they died.

This guy has way more patience that I'll ever have. Kudos for that at least.

Even so, I don't really consider it a pacifist run. He just forced other entities to commit murder for him because the game absolutely cannot handle the idea of someone not wanting to run around and shoot people in the face with a better plasma gun, since apparently it's what Fallout is all about now.

This, even while it is funny what people ... endure to do something unusual, shows how broken the whole premise is. Neither does the world in the game reconigze your efforts, nor is the game actually allowing this path for you. Not like in Fallout 1 and 2 where your skills gave you options to solve situations peacefully trough spech or ... your skills! (the PCs skills, not player skills). Or like in Deus Ex, using tranquilizers to pacify enemies among many other options. Its clear that Bethesda had made one and only one play style possible:

This is now the main target audience of Fallout ...

So they can only go up from here, correct? You can't go much further down than this apart from becoming Call of Duty with Power Armour.

There has to be a limit to the bullshit people will stand. Because if not and it goes too far casual and starts to not make enough money, Bethesda might just shelf it (give the IP away? bwahahahaha no) and it will stay out of the touch of light for the rest of our days.

An exaggeration perhaps, but anything can happen in the game industry.

But it can become Call of Duty with power armor. It will still make money, since we know that there is a large amount of people who like those kinds of games. So no, it can still go down from here. I wouldn't doubt it for a second.

Well the only select few ways to go any further down from here is to allow the not-Soul Surviver to shoot fire/ice/lightning out of their hands, aliens making peace with everyone, and running around as a werewolf.
Well the only ones I can think of for now, of course the game has "Freezing Boards of Magic" and "Iron Sighted-Heavy Barrel-Extended Magazine-Triple Burst-Irradiated Miniguns" so anything is possible.

You think that's a joke, but I can make up theoretical explanations behind all of them, so as to give a glimpse of what Bethesda might do.

allow the not-Soul Surviver to shoot fire/ice/lightning out of their hands

Radiation can now allow biological organisms to disperse energy of different forms through their body! Or maybe cybernetic technology...
There was cybertech in Fallout: New Vegas, the old fans will like it. Put the pyroblast implants in the next one, everyone will love it!

aliens making peace with everyone

Aliens from Mothership Theta have returned, and now they've made peace with us because they must ally with us in order to face the might of the dark evil...
Cue Lovecraft DLC with not-Cthulhu as the primary antagonist. You can get tentacle and mind-blast weapons because why not.

and running around as a werewolf.
Controlled mutation with the use of FEV and wolf DNA has allowed the rogue Institute division to turn people into wolf hybrids capable of awesome combat survival.
Hunt down this division and use their own experiment against them - become the Radwolf and take down the scientists, one by one.

Damn, I could practically work for Bethesda at this point, right? It doesn't take much to make backstories for anything really, if you aren't trying.

"Iron Sighted-Heavy Barrel-Extended Magazine-Triple Burst-Irradiated Miniguns"

Years ago, this could've been sarcastic. But no joke, that's actually in the game.

Their writers have such a low writing skill that anyone at NMA could outshine them by a long shot, it's not that hard. As for the guns, yeah I made quite a few of them with such ridiculous names like that. I doubt Bethesda could even think of good explanations like that for those ideas but even if it were so, it wouldn't change the fact that those sort of elements don't belong in Fallout considering two of them belong to TES.

Fallout has become nothing more than a grind to farm the best "legendary" weapons and armors. Nothing more than a game to write grinding/farming guides about. I can't see how people can say "but aren't you glad everyone else likes it?", no I can't because they beat that name into the ground then took a dump on it.

I like how Underrail has classic XP and Oddity XP. Classic gives you XP for doing quests, using skills(eg. Lockpicking) and killing while Oddity gives you XP for finding these strange items(sorry hard to explain). It discourages from kill grinding and allows you to focus on builds that don't involve killing enemies to gain levels for example.

I'm sort of curious to see what DLCs they're going to shit out for Fallout 4. I'm having a feeling it'll be something with aliens and wacky stuff.

I am pretty sure they will make a Moon DLC  where for some reason we will explore the Moon or some Moon base and fight Aliens, Chinese or even Russians or whatever Bethesda puts there. All because of the Mural in the museum in FO4 that shows significant battles/wars the USA had in it's history and there is one that is on the moon...

Since there is no good reason for Bethesda to add that to a Fallout game because in none of the previous games (including Bethesda ones) there was even a hint that the USA ever fought any battles on the Moon, it looks like an Easter-egg hinting for a future DLC, because why else would something totally unrelated to any lore or canon in the known Fallout universe be even considered to be placed in there?

Heh I had to do that, anyways I'm not sure why they would want a fighting on the moon DLC. It wouldn't have anything to do with Fallout(not that Fallout 4 has anything to do with Fallout besides the name on the case) and it wouldn't even be located in the wasteland, it would be Aliens on the Moon: The DLC.

They wouldn't put Russians, that smells far too much of the cold war and actual controversy as the political situation today is a lot like the Cold war. Now robot sex... yeah that's good.

There's a mod request on the nexus forums to romance Curie while she's a robot, so that dlc may sell.:wiggle:

MMMM... don't you love the smell of oiled metal in the morning! ;)

You'll just need to make sure to oil her up like the tin man. Still wouldn't the synthetic ass, vagina, and breasts be more preferable? I'm not sure exactly where you would stick it in...

Don't give them ideas ...

Well anything is possible is what Fallout 4 showed us, not in a good way though. I'm actually afraid to see what the DLC is about, like freeing kids in fridge prisons deprived of food(wait they don't know their own physiology) for 200 years by a ghoul slaver raider. A group of people formerly from The Institute getting ahold of FEV and tweaking it to create a big special mutants out of molerats. The possibilities are endless.
