The art book looks more like a art pamphlet, what format is it, postcard size?

It depends what you want it for. To show off and admire the art some people like a bigger piece (poster ect.)

For artists (like myself) we dont mind the size, we use it for inspiration, looking at different concepts ect.
Most good artists can work from "postcard" size images anyway.

For me, i dont mind the size, sometimes something larger is more awkward. I mean that book is fairly thick and looks hardback so i assume its quite good quality, which is all i need. (dont get me wrong, a hardback thick A4 size art book would be fantastic)

Just out of interest has anyone actually confirmed these are the final images for everything in the CE?

I'll pass on the merch. I would actually pay $120.00 for a real FO sequel, but FPS/RPGs are pretty much bargain bin games for me.

+1

I would pay more than $120 to get the same feeling, excitement, adventure and amazing journey I got the first time I played fallout back in 99(for me).

I wouldn't want this gimmick stuff, even if they give it away for free. Because it will always remind me how unworthy this game was of it's name Fallout 3.

Here we go, another reason for everyone out there to call us lunatics, rabid and whatever else he can come up with.

What? Just because I already know I won't like the game i'm a rabid lunatic?!

Did I get this right?

They spent money and time developing THIS instead of making a good game?

Money? Yes. But that's a separate investment supposed to pay itself back purely in SE pre-orders.

Development time? No. Unless you believe developers know how to work plastic molds.

Still. They wasted money and effort to come up with a bloody PipBoy wristwatch and bobbleheads?

I'd rather have the sourcecode to Fallout 1+2 than that.

The source code is probably lost forever, but I'd love for Bethesda to release the Fallout 1 and 2 design documents, which they do have (and do not want to release).

Heck, even a in-game-like Vault 13 flask and a t-shirt would do.

Y'know, something that's NOT based on something they completely re-invented from scratch.

Just look at their vaultboy bobblehead and i dare you to say that again.

It's like you're asking for disappointment.

The flask is a kickass idea.
a flask would have been absolutely awesome, wonder how it would have played with a customer base largely under 21 though. (LULZ, IT'S FOR WATER!)

they're recycling a lot of stuff from the first game and will probably continue to do so for future sequels/projects. besides that, they've been antagonistic cunts with the info release valve.
