Vader is weaker than Anakin at his prime but he's certainly better than pre-episode III Anakin. You act like he's a fucking frail old man. Neither Anakin or Obi Wan were at the height of their power when Cad fought them. Boba Fett fought a very pissed off Darth Vader, one of the most powerful Sith to ever live.
How could boba fight Darth Vader if Vader hires him later? That doesn't make sense. Where's this prime shit coming from? Anakin was powerful enough and so was ob I wan. Cad fought them both to a stalemate. And he resisted Jedi force interrogation forms several Jedi at once.and he I flirted the Jedi temple and held the Senate hostage and got away with it.

He's not one of the most powerful Sith though...
Yea, he's just the Chosen One and all that. Pfffft, what a small fry.
There are much tougher Sith in Star Wars in Vader.
Hence why I said "ONE OF" and not "THE" most powerful. Please get some basic reading comprehension and then get back to me.

Yea dude, people who fight never become allies later. That's some crazy shit. Britian is gonna declare war on France any minute now I tell ya.

Yes, two Jedi Knights of Mid level training gg, no ones done that before. You literally underestimate the power of the Dark Side and all the benefits it gives Darth Vader seeing as he's constantly pissed on and in extreme pain.
And he resisted Jedi force interrogation forms several Jedi at once.
People have done that before and after.
he I flirted the Jedi temple
What did he mean by this?

So? Just because he's the Chosen One doesn't make him God. Hell, even the Emperor wants to ditch him for Luke.

Except he's still not one of the most powerful Sith lords. He might be 20th, but I can list a load of others who would trash Darth Vader and shit on him.

He infiltrated the Jedi Temple.

To be fair, the young but trained Luke probably was stronger than the mostly machine and old Darth Vader. Having a young apprentice who is in good condition and possessing tremendous potential over an old cyborg who can't achieve his full potential in his current state would be preferable for someone like the Emperor.

Darth Vader in the suit is pretty powerful but I agree. The man in the suit is not as strong as other Sith Lords simply because he will never reach his full potential in his current condition. A Darth Vader without the suit and injuries though would be pretty powerful.

He's literally a messianic figure to the Jedi and was born from the Force itself. He's Star Wars Jesus.
So? Unlike Jesus he's weak, and has been beaten multiple times. In a battle between Darth Vader and Darth Sion... I always bet on the unkillable dude.

Possibly, though Darth Vader as we know him is actually a pretty weak Sith Lord in comparison to the many in the awesome Expanded Universe.

A little off-topic but any of you ever wonder what would happen if Sidious ever fought Nihlus? One of the most (or the most) powerful Sith Lords of all time vs a living Wound in the Force that eats up anything Force related.

That would be... actually that would be hard to judge... both are really powerful and both have their strengths...

AGAIN I said ONE OF not THE most powerful. Never said there were no other Sith Lords stronger than him

@R. Graves
Plenty of others have infliltrated the Jedi Council before.

AGAIN I say that he's not ONE OF the powerful Sith. He's a middleweight.

I do recall that in the EU, Vader was a nightmare for any Jedi who he confronted.

I do agree that Darth Vader (especially in the suit) is weaker than other Sith Lords featured in the EU (Nihlus would totally destroy him thanks to Vader's power with the Force and Nihlus's advantage over individuals with high Force potential plus Bane in orbalisk armour would destroy him) though he's probably pretty high up in terms of lightsaber combat and potential during his prime (when he was uninjured though he's not particularly strong yet since he had not begun training properly as a Sith).

Except he was almost killed by a Jedi, who only refused to kill him because she cut off his hand. She in turn was attacked by a fellow Jedi, who tried to get at the weakened Vader, who then killed both of them as they fought. Let's not forget Sion, who only died because he was convinced to accept death, and Sidious (fucking Emperor over all) and the many other badass Sith in the EU.

I'm not too familiar with the EU since I could not afford to get all the EU materials, so who was the Jedi that almost killed him?

I'm not disagreeing with Vader being regarded as a mid-level Sith Lord; in fact, I tend to be that side of the fence with the EU in mind. Part of me is always gonna be curious though on how Vader would have been like had he received proper Sith training and never got crippled. Would he have been able to follow the Rule of Two and finish off Sidious to become the new Lord of the Sith?

Bultar Swan. It's actually a cool battle, and Vader does acquit himself well, killing multiple other Jedi (eight attacked him).

If Darth Vader never got crippled... yeah I think he would have been able to take on the Emperor, but as armored Darth Vader it's just a pipe dream.

That depends on your faith and either way, the guy was still crucified, I wouldn't call that a show of strength.
It actually was. You know, the whole "redemption for humanity's sins" stuff? Wouldn't have been the same without the Passion beforehand. He wouldn't have been "Christ" if he didn't allow for himself to be caught, tortured and killed (and subsequently resurrected, further cementing his status as God/son of God/aspect of God).
Ah, theology. Even gets to Star Wars.

That's not actually a coincidence. Religion, myths and beliefs have had a large effect on Lucas's writing, with the whole of the original Star Wars story supposed to be based on a science fiction version of the 'Super Myth', described by Joseph Cambell.
