Steam sale is still going on, what did YOU buy or what are you thinking of picking up?

Okami is an awesome game if you like Zelda like action-adventure titles. It also has a very beautiful art style of its own.

I'm refraining from the Summer Sale this year as a New Year's Resolution (sort of) - I have a substantial backlog of unplayed/uncompleted stuff that I really shouldn't be adding to just yet. It would take an extraordinary deal on a game that was particularly interesting to me in order to get me to break resolution at this point, and Steam doesn't seem to be offering that.

Yet.

Underrail
Age of Decadence
Also latest DLC for Crusader Kings 2 (waste of money) and Zubmariner DLC for Sunless Sea.

All of these were probably a mistake tho, at this point I have 30+ games on Steam waiting to be played and/or finished.

I got Divinity: Original Sin (Enhanced Edition) & Divinity: Original Sin 2 because I somehow missed them when they were originally released. Considering it's a studio local to me, I'm giving them a shot.

The first game was quite good but everything feelt like RNG. Apperantly the second one is better but i have yet to buy it because of the price and me being poor for another 2 months.

West Of Loathing.

Kingdom of Loathing is as addictive as crack, and even though it's a ridiculous, goofy spoof made with stick figures, it's still a better RPG than most AAA titles. Not sure how that'll hold up for West of Loathing, but it's worth a punt with 25% off.

Been on the prowl in the last hours of the sale for dirt cheap games. Got Witcher 1, Witcher 2, Deus Ex 1, System Shock 2, a bundle with pretty much every Half Life game for 4 bucks and Thief 2.

Planning to get Kerbal Space Program and the new Ys game.
Havent bought anything yet I think.

I finished both. And while they're quite decent, they are severely lacking in many areas. It's too bad really.

Story progression feels slow and doesn't really draw you in
It's sometimes hard to know where the game expects you to go, and you can walk into areas which are way above your level without any warning whatsoever
Loot is unbalanced (in the sense that your gear becomes outdated extremely quickly)
Quests are often conflicting (not in the good "choice & consequence" kind of way, but simply "if you do this follower quest, you can't do the other follower quest anymore")
And for Original Sin 2: while there's a fuckton of possible endings, there isn't an ending for Fane (undead Eternal) to be a Divine Godwoken that sides with the mortal races?

Still, if you don't mind a bit of a grind here & there, they're worth playing.
It took me 50 hours to play through Original Sin 1 and 70 hours to play through Original Sin 2, but I tried to do every quest & explore every area.
