If you go to big town and talk to bittercup she will talk to you about her boyfriends. Go and talk to 'pappy' and if you have a high speech skill you can ask him about his relationship with her over and over again, the dialog option is never removed and you earn XP every time you ask.

Those explits occur so, so often in Bethesda's RPGs.
 
I refer you to Fallout 2's infinite Jet bug in The Den. Have you ever played that game without the patch?

God, it's like the pot calling the kettle black with you people all the time.
 
Hey, here's a thought: how about you go through a couple thousand lines of code and fix the problem?

Oh wait, it's just easier to bitch about Bethesda without holding the previous games to the same standard. Okay.
 
I wasn't making any comparisons. I actually didn't finish Fallout 2 originally because of gamebreaking bugs.

That said I've run into far more game design flaws in this game than I ever did in F2
 
So, because Fallout and Fallout 2 had some bugs, we aren't allowed to point out ones we find in Fallout 3?
 
Games have bugs. It's an inevitable side-effect of the industry. But blasting Fallout 3 for its flaws without holding the other games to the same standard is pretty unfair, and a lot of people have been doing it.

The topic is about FO3 right? Not about Far Cry 2 or others.

BTW bugs are not there because games exist, but because of a bad design (which leads to even more things). Game developers should try to make less bugs andlearn on their mistakes, so that will make them a good developer.

That, and time constraints/laziness.

Take a look at VALVe. They're still rolling out updates for a game that was released 11 years ago to make sure their customers can run it on modern systems. They never drop support for a game, and if there's bugs; there will be patches.

Now take a look at Bethesda, which releases unfinished games; and throws out a half-assed patch or two (that fix less than a tenth of the bugs) before dropping support.
 
did ya ever think if bethesda spent just 6 months in this forum that the game wouldve been so much better?

We do hold them up to the same standard, and have been critical of the bugs, issues, etc in Fallout 1 and 2. However, we've been doing this since Fallout was released, so almost all of the bugs have been noticed and possibly fixed. Fallout 3 was released a few days ago, so we're just doing the same thing with it.

Then I'm supposed to pay for the game and then fix it myself... for free? No, thank you very much.

Although I don't think this is really that big of a bug...
And umm... I think Rohit_N's response was a sarcastic one to the pathetic excuse that if Fallout 2 had such bugs it's no problem for them to be in Fallout 3 too.
