the hell are you talking about? CV plays the same as RE3. its puzzles are more difficult as well from what I can remember.

what's wrong with clones? this is a clusterfuck of a franchise. we've got zombies, cyborgs, giant fleas, human-fly hyrbrids, mind control parasites, cults, an evil corporation, conspiracies (the mayor in RE2 is a good example), giant sewer gators, weird spikey hug monsters, killer frog things, hunters, and now, apparently, we've got cabin people. and we were gonna have ghosts at one point.

No, no, no. I mean in Code Veronica they put action in the forefront and moved horror back a bit. Wesker came back suddenly with virus derived powers that made him super fast thus giving the series the villain it required. The story didn't change that much but the focus did. Once Chris started punching boulders and Wesker went full mad scientist it lost it's luster. The series was never meant to include ghosts either. Mikami was attempting that shit but they nixed it.
