You better be joking. Harris was a terrible artist and the only TH he made where cut outs he scanned from magazines he found on the street. Wolna has a good heart, but his TH looked bad and they had no animations.

Lets say it this way: I've never seen really sufficient animated amateur talking head. Only a couple of good static pieces (Mad_Eyes', Conties', and especially last MR newspost pre-made character punks).

Ad Haris vs Wolna vs faggot-looking fella: crap or super crap, doesn't matter. Just get rid of it.

Also, at least Haris' methods were pretty funny, this is just "WTF"... My opinion. Farewell.

EDIT Okay, I know snubbing gfx volunteers is hard (if you've got heart). That's most probably the core of the whole problem.

i am not a 3d artist, and the TH'S were my first mod for fallout. It was a portrait mod, so not animated. Only Metzger was animated, by Jostitz and as i said again, this pic is only a early preview.

Aside from slightly weird mouth and emo expression on the face looks like young Viggo Mortensen to me. Don't get what is particularly "not fallouty" or "faggoty" about this face though. Just weird expression, that is all.

I don't know why, but looks a bit artifiacial to me. The first shot looked more "human". Could just be the lighting and overall "cleaner" look though.

I think the most important quality in a talking head is that the head has very distinct features. Look at Decker, the man is totally evil, and when you first see him you know it. Too many faces seem too soft and have not enough damaged features (wrinkles, lines, deep sunken eyes, smashed noses) to make them all the more believable. Model makers smash the shit out of those faces, and never create a symmetrical face, always twist one side up or down slightly, no face is perfectly symmetrical. If someone builds a fagoty head that’s OK, as long it’s for a fagoty character, Davin for instance.

the one problem we have is that the fallout engine is shit. Most talking heads have no hair or short hair ias anmating the hair in the frm is a pain!

That's because we all love this game so! The defining halmark of Fallout (1+2) is its accomplishment in creating an atmosphere - an emersive world. It does this by very stubtle yet simple means by today's gaming standards. So yes, to maintain that level of quality you have to be highly critical! I guess that doesn't always make it easy for the artists and modders creating new stuff, but what I'm saying is - it shouldn't be. Fallout is too much of a class act for that! But when people get it right, like killap, Timeslip and Contiuum (and many others) have done so many times, we do give them recognition!

I'm trying to keep my mouth shut, and not comment someone else work, but since people commenting my why I shouldn't comment others. So... Can someone show where do you see sadism and evil on these "expressions" of Mr. Metzger? Because I can't. That superior product is lacking everything what TH should have. From decent modeling, through lighting, texturing, animations, and ending on rendering - some re-paint + copy & paste - awesome work, indeed.
