Talking Heads

Would be a funny easteregg somewhere hidden in the dark and far far away desert.

Call me insane or whatever - but I like it.
I like the meerkat too. Looks like we both went insane :freak: Fallout modding isn't healthy obviously.

Ahem. I wanted to do this thing with Meerkat.

Mr. Dwarf is the new art for the next project we're thinking off. I think, I already presented one art, somewhere...

Dwarf in power armour would be a nice addition to the game :P

Anyway, here's "the emo faggot" with a different expression and without conversion to fallout palette.

This took me 5 minutes to make…that’s right….5 minutes. Download a trial version of Face Generator from

www.FaceGen.com

Now start building those talking heads. You can make expressions, blink, etc. Even if this software has its limitations, let everybody start making faces for the most important characters and we can vote on the best ones.

That software seems to be a lot like Poser by Smith Micro. Not really a challenge to make faces with softwares like these... and there might be licensing issues ;)

If some of our fellow NMA members still think that superior product is better than my version then I'll finish him and redo Mr. Scarface (with Mr. Whip's head), since he was an experiment rather than serious work.

I have to say Mr Whip here has improved significantly! But I still feel the other head is more fitting for the Metzger role. So if you would actually consider using that one I would be thrilled! I'm sure there are other characters in the game for which Mr Whip will be just right. How about Lil' Jesus Mordino, the vagrants' captain or the owner of the Morningstar Mine in Redding (Dan McGrew)?

is it just me or the image link is broken?

people, the only shitty and crappy things were the last 2 sites of your off topic trash.

So cool down, and concentrate you of really important things.

At last the metzger and all other stuff were just portraits, i never wanted to make a full animated talking head. And if you do not like my work, then you can kiss my russian ass. :P

The beard looks odd but other than that, looks freaking badass!

i think that are scares.

here the base frame with the correct palette. Do not know what you have, personally i like it very much.

Hey, I like it too! But maybe the slaver tattoo should be a little more visible?

I like Conties version much more. :>

They both have their appeal, but I like Conti's better. Not to mention the fact Wolna's one would have been finished months ago if it was going to be finished at all.

The software (www.FaceGen.com) is free to download; you can create interesting heads with every imaginable expression, mouth movements, blinking. We are not working on any commercial enterprise, there is no financial gain taking place here, just a group of people creating artworks that represent characters in a computer game that’s older than most game players nowadays. Even if some people think its cheating, just use it as a visual base to build your fully functional 3d heads from, and by the way you are going to have to build it, texture it, IK it, rig it, morph it, light it, animate it, render it, blah, blah, blah. And I know what I’m talking about, I’ve done it before, and it’s hard to do it well, any dick can make a dogs breakfast, but quality work; well that’s a different story.

All that’s really required from our point of view is that the bodies be built, with the various armor sets, though I will admit it would be good to have extra embellishments (ear rings, nose rings, scars, etc). Everything can be composited in Photoshop; I will make a tutorial for the noobs out there if there’s an interest for it. I will take a Fallout character and add the new head and show you guys…..

Oh yes, tutorial, make! :)

Doesn't the free version come with a logo on the forehead and inability to export to other 3d programs?

I think his head (since armour is from Cassidy?) isn't indexed.

On the particular frame you posted is looking good. My main concern, and idea of making the new head was the animations problem, since animating in 2d simply sucks. Kaputt. Deal with it. Look:

metgzerps2.gif

Have you fixed lack of smooth transitions between angry, neutral, happy? Did you add Shake, and Nod thingy? Does he have talk animations? For comparison TH head I made had 133 frames. Not to mention that head itself was moving to the left, or to the right during idle animations, or while switching between angry, neutral, and happy, instead of "standing" in one point.

Design. Final product. See the difference?

If you solved all problems then fine, show us, art-hungry crowd his animations.

Metzger is the greatest achievement of Wolna's Fallout Portrait Pack. Did Azrael-Arkangel make him, or only "animations"?

Anyway, I'm leaving him as he is, hope some day he'll be finished.

No Jostitz did animated metzger.

Here all files i could find (take a look).

And again as made metzgers face, i never wanted to animate it. Of course your version is much accurate. Cause your skills are much better as mine^^ But that is not the point, the main thing is that at the end we have a nice TH. Cause in my opinion we modders make all this stuff, because we love that game so much and not to shown us self and ow amazing we are^^

For me personolly. I hope my metzger can you give some nice ideas. And i sure at the end we will all like the resultats. ;)

Oh , here the link with all animations i found. I think there was a lot more but i cannot find them.

And ,yes last question. Who the hell is Haris? ^^

(Never heard from that guy)
