I love terminator.I've seen terminator 1 about 100 times, its a AWESOME drinking/weed movie, the same with total recall.I've seen terminator 2 a few times, never seen terminator 3 though

You know, a few hours I posted that message Terminator 3 came on FX and I watched it.Its actually pretty good, unlike what most of you are saying.Its too bad sarah connor was dead though
 
It was just more of the same, rehashes never turn out well, take a look at "Superman Returns" as an example.

Superman Returns was marred by a pretty shitty script and less than stellar direction, though.

"Rehashes never turn out well" - is that why Batman Begins and The Dark Knight have made an astonishing amount of money?
 
Another one for Reign of Fire here.
It was a nice film if you can somehow forget the "Holywooded" bits. It was original to boot too :)

I felt Terminator had a very good ending; The future is not predestinied... T4 was/felt like a lame attempt to milk the Terminator franchise. They might be able to hammer the story into a good shape with a good 4th film, or maybe they wont. i dont know but continuing the saga part T2 was a mistake.

WTB Creative stories. Not another sequel!
 
Many people find it hard to like a 3rd movie in a series after the first two have been so bad ass. I for one like T3,but I guess I'm a exception to that crowd. The Terminator Series has been explaining a hell of a lot of information about the back story of the series. I highly recommend it to any fan of Terminator. Oh and one more thing...think beyond Arnold. Hes a old fucking Mccainite who wants to destroy the world with "sameness".

For your information not everyone is a liberal democrat obama bin laden(lol, had too) supporter.

I support arnold AND mccain.Except I think weed should be legal, thats one of the few disagreements I have.But then again, NO politician would ever support it being legal, republican(Which I consider myself, though not a far right super hardcore religous nutcase kind of republican, like what you think every republicans is) or democrat
 
I don't think The dark knight and Begins were rehashes moreso they were reinventions of an almost dead film franchise. Superman Returns was more of the same, The dark Knight was actually a quite different take of batman, taking elements from Miller's work(The dark knight returns, killing Joke, Long halloween.) and modern crime dramas.

Repeated Formulas. Superman returns basically oozed out homage to Richard donnor's classic. It failed on so many levels, creating a tried and true view of Superman. We know he wins, we know luthor will have some extremely goofy scheme(extremely unlike the comics, this is more the golden age character.) that will of coarse involve kryptonite in some way. The romance scenes took over the fact that Superman is what he is; A powerful demi-god alien that in early issues could blow the moon away with his breath.
