And Oblivion is massively dumbed down from Morrowind.

I still think people should appreciate media in it's original form rather than updating it to fit with modern stylistic sensibilities.Nah, depends on how you do it. Remake of Resident Evil 1 looks miles better than the original, and not just in the polygons department. Much better atmosphere, better lighting, better sense of dread.
I know that melee attacks are now a 4 piece combo so hit-hit-hit-BIGHITI still would like to know what new features does this remake have, graphics aside.
its funny because pound for pound oblivion is the worst mainline elders scrolls game by far. skyrim is helped a lot by being basically a soft reboot.People that are now trash talking Skyrim and saying it's worse than Oblivion will instantly change their tune if Skyrim gets a similar remaster.
Bethesda fans are just bandwagonners, whatever is popular at the moment will gets its dick sucked and be compared favorably even to other games in the series that also had their dick sucked.
oblivion is actually shockingly small scale. if it was ported directly into morrowind oblivions cyrodiil would only be slightly larger than the backwater island of vvardenfell.I assume Oblivion's scale was a big reason for why it looks the way it does.
I will actually agree with this. Skyrim at least embraced its shallowness, even if it sucks at the end of day. Oblivion on the other hand is far too shallow for someone that wants depth in their RPGs, but it doesn't have all the shit normies like that Skyrim has with the kill cams, dragon shouts and the other things.its funny because pound for pound oblivion is the worst mainline elders scrolls game by far. skyrim is helped a lot by being basically a soft reboot.
I technically meant scale as in, all the dungeons, interiors, voiced NPCs with schedules, quests, weapons, all that stuff along with the map's size. The map in Oblivion is pretty small which is funny since Cyrodill is the largest province of Tamirel I think.oblivion is actually shockingly small scale. if it was ported directly into morrowind oblivions cyrodiil would only be slightly larger than the backwater island of vvardenfell.
Scaling is a general problem in TeS games. The big settlements are also not supposed to be that small (goes for all TeS games). The map in Oblivion is pretty small which is funny since Cyrodill is the largest province of Tamirel I think.
Don’t ever disrespect Daggerfall like that.Scaling is a general problem in TeS games. The big settlements are also not supposed to be that small (goes for all TeS games).
You could get around that in Fnv by modding the game lmao.Oh for fucks sake, never mind. Scratch everything I just said. Apparently if you even open the console command it disables achievements and considering how fucking buggy and janky Oblivion is pretty much everyone is going to use console commands at some point. So the achievements are a useless barometer for telling what people have achieved and not.
He pretty much shitted on the game and his arguments are the ones me and many others have used against Oblivion for many years now.Plus, watching/listening to PatricianTV's 12 hour breakdown of it also gave me a little bit more appreciation for the game too.
lmao. we can say a million bad things about skyrim but at least its level scaling doesnt break the game in half and at least its not a direct sequel that ignores the plotline the previous game set up for it.Yeah it's got tonnes of issues, but honestly, it's not a bad game.
