The Fallout 2 Restoration Project is finished

Crashed for me about 30-40 minutes into it, random encounter with molerats changing to shotgun in slot 2.

Prior to this I'd done a few quests in Arroyo and Klamath, then took a wander down to the Primitive Tribe with Sulik to see how that fared, unfortunately when I left he didn't come with me though!

Otherwise it's absolutely brilliant!

A post from me in the expansion thread:

Ok, it seems there are issues with the ammo mod and FO1 gun sounds which comes as extras in the expansion. I suggest for those having odd crashes while in combat or really odd crashes in general to uninstall the expansion (use the uninstaller from the FO folder) and reinstall without those two extras. Don't worry your save games will remain and work just fine after reinstalling the expansion. A new installer is up which has these two extras removed.

Ah excellent, sorry didn't see that mate. Nice one!

Quick question in regards to savegames, I presume it's ok to overwrite an original savegame with an expansion savegame? Shoudln't cause difficulties should it?

Saving over older save games before the expansion is not a problem.

Sorry to be off subject, but this has been bothering me for weeks.

When talking in real life, do you say hello at the beginning of every response, or is that just for the internet?

To xdarkyrex,

Only on the internet, there is no point of doing that in a RL conversation.
Reason why I am always doing it? I am a polite person.

Well, looks like I'll be playing Fallout 2 again, just as soon as I get my CD back from my friend. Until then, The Witcher will keep me mildly happy, as it is at least going in the right direction compared to the last 200 "RPG"s that have been released.
Killap, you are a one-man modding machine. For that, I say thanks. Your unofficial patches rocked so I'm sure this expansion will make the game even more interesting.

Just before I had to format my HDD, I had just dropped the witcher to play Fallout 2 again with this one  I guess it tells a bit about how much I love FO2 :D Not that The Witcher is bad, though, it's pretty cool, but it's actiony and all, and chapter IV is very uninteresting... Now I've got to reinstall everything again :( Hopefully the backup DVD didn't die on me...
