PS3: I don't have one :| lol

I didn't care much for the game the first time around to be perfectly honest.

The gameplay is so-so, especially once you pass the midway point and start encountering enemies that are particularly frustrating to kill (I'm looking at you Dark Troopers).

Not to mention that whole PULL DOWN THE STAR DESTROYER thing they pimped to high heaven was a terrible and frustratingly stupid stupid minigame.

The story is also brain-hurtingly forced to be canonical through some poorly thought out methods.

So unless this rerelease comes with a lower price tag (Somewhere around $20-$30) I don't suggest buying it.

To me this PC launch has, more than anything, symbolic (is this word correct?) value. Force Unleashed not coming to PC after Kotor, Republic Commando, Jedi Knight, etc was a bitchslap in the face of PC gamers, Lucas Arts should never think about abandoning PCs after getting so much from us.

Also, it's Star Wars and we can cast Lightning all the time, goddamnit. Personally, I played a bit of this in a friend's XB360 (dead console, btw... 3RL of doom...) and, thought I found the game to be simple and straight - and foresaw it would become a bit boring/frustrating after mid-game - I enjoyed it. Weighting pros and cons, and the fact it is playing Star Wars as Dark Side on the PC, it's worth playing.

Why is he wearing a medieval armour?

I think it's not Vader's apprentice in that video... sounds like the voice talking is the Emperor's, maybe the guy is his apprentice (like, Vader's replacement)?

I regret spending a cent on yet another lifeless and pointless Georg Lucas video game.

word to the wise, any considering purchasing this product, DONT... Unless you enjoy mediocrity at its finest.

Looks good. For a long time I didn't thin kit wuold come to PC.

Well, anyone play it (for console)? Is the writing up to the the level of either Knights of the Old Republic? (I know not much about this game, aside from the physics engine is suppose to be pretty snazy -- and really, that's all that matters).

generalissimofurioso: "especially once you pass the midway point and start encountering enemies that are particularly frustrating to kill"

Better then force lighting spam fest whiping out everything in your wake, maybe. Hell, in KOTOR2, that's all Talos is . . . :D

Not quite . . . Just the hype surrounding this one. Apparently they've made an effort to give environmental objects proper destructo-characteristics. Or some such jazz as reported on the Space channel ni on a year ago now.

Looks good.

Story would be a plus . . . A real big plus. And, and . . . Intelligent, challenging enemies! But, you can only ask for so much.

Enemy A.I is mostly the stand around and shoot type or fixed attack pattern type and the story is just... boring.

I played it for about 30 mins and couldn't take it anymore. This game plain sucks. It's just an area after area full of enemies that you have to do the same shit to pass.

I found the repetition to suck the life out of this game.

ie: Here's a room full of baddies. Kill them. Run down a hall, into another room full of baddies. Kill them.

Rinse / repeat.

The Jedi battles were fun though.

Hi guys,

I am a big Dark Forces/Jedi Knight fan and I was really curious about this game when it was first announced, but after what I have seen of it on youtube and the horrible storyline that was made with Lucas I recommend skipping this game.

One think I hate is how the Force now basically turns characters into Superman, being able to swing Star Destroyers.
The movies and games showed subtle skills with the really powerful feats reserved for masters or Sith who in return had to sacrifice part of themselves to attain great power.
If characters can pull down Star Destroyers, how is taking on a conventional army still suppose to be a task, just throw them all in the air or something.

Edit: what a terrible Emperor Palpatine impersonation.

don't a lot of great games simply rehash the same thing?

Diablo? fighting doesn't change terribly much over the levels, does it?

repetition doesn't cause a game to suck in itself.

(not saying that this star wars thingy is a good game though, never seen it, never played it. the long nails shit looks ridiculous anyway)

doesn't Yoda say that size doesn't matter?

why wouldn't a jedi master not be able to pull down a star destroyer?

sure it would imbalance the game, the movies etc, but from their own explanations, it should be possible.

What this man said. I bought into the the hype of this one and got scorned. It's very very bland with no replay value what so ever.

Also the Star Wars games have been somewhat bland for a while. I blame Factor 5 for not making Rogue Squadron games anymore. Instead they wanted to live out dragon nerd passion for the PS3. How cool would a new Rogue Squadron game be?

Didn't they say like half a year ago that PCs aren't powerful enough to run it, despite it being even on PS2?
I can't stand bullshit, so fuck LA and this game.

That makes no sense. PC's are all different.

I bought it on PS3-release and was pretty disappointed at first.
Problem is, that I expected something more akin to the Jedi Knight games.
Once I came to terms with the fact that it basically is just a SW-God of War clone I was able to enjoy it.

Still waiting on that new Jedi Knight game tho'...

I own a console and have played the demo, the controls and camera was horrid, and the animations a little stiff. The production values seemed to be in the right place though, the voice acting and character models are quite good, and vader's voice is spot on.

Worth more a rental then a buy I'd say.
