The General Atomics Galleria is awesome!

I also spent a lot of time base building.... because I was expecting something different to unlock or develop.... it didn't happen, then I just stopped playing.

My New Character I did for mod Testing doesn't even have any points in Charisma and I am not even feeling like I am missing anything.... because I know I am not missing absolutely anything.

I can't stand the perspective you're in during base building, you can't determine if what you have is in the right place and the item you're placing blocks a lot of your view if it's pretty big.
The interface is a nightmare, one bar to shift through items makes looking for some building material a chore. Oh and the best part, not being able to remove things like screws from an item, well looks like I'll lug these typewriters around until I'm overecumbered.

I think I spent far too much time base building, it's like a mobile game time sink.
F4 and a slot machine have a lot in common I guess.

Bethesda games mainly work on the addictive part of gaming to keep people playing it, well and mods, which also work in to that. Most of the mods people use and create are visuals or slight changes to the gameplay.

However, I never really liked it to much when a game relies to heavily on addictive mechanics to keep you interested. But Bethesda is by far not the only company doing it. You could look at Destiny, Diablo 3 and many more games out there, which are definetly made on purpose with those mind-tricks. Like a slot machine.

But games could, or actually should be, a lot more than justa skinner box.
