I've always been interested in the behind-the-scenes drama on the sets of well known movies. Like how Kubrick harassed Duvall to the point of tears. Or how some actors jut love to play pranks on people. Or shit like this...



Post anything related to the production material of a movie. That can include interviews, commentary, how scenes were shot, whatever. You can even post a movie trailer and comment on how shit it looks. No worries.
 
I find it fascinating how much of a disaster the filming of Waterworld was.
And how harsh filming for The Abyss was. Along with being a disaster. I'll post more details when I have the time.
 
Story goes that during the pre-production of Drive Nicolas Winding Refn had an incredibly awkward first meeting and late lunch with Ryan Gosling where Refn barely spoke, and Ryan thought that he'd blown it and also that Refn was an aloof and uninterested dickhead. Anyway, story continues that Refn can't drive and asked Gosling for a lift to somewhere to which he agreed. When they were driving, in LA, Gosling was listening to some synth-pop to basically avoid the silent awkwardness. However, Refn began to literally cry and started saying "This is what the movie is going to be"

Actor / comedian W.C. Fields was incredibly coordinated. He was a vaudeville juggler and usually worked several amazing physical gags into his movies. To compensate for this talent, he usually was imbibing on the set to continually refresh his alcohol intoxication. This often involved having a thermos that purportedly contained pineapple juice which in actuality was full of gin. One day someone on the set decided to play a prank on him by switching out the liquid in his thermos.

After taking a swig, he exclaimed, "Whose been putting pineapple juice in my pineapple juice?"

Alien face-fucking? Fine. Child murder and up-close Alien carnage? Fine. But you show one ass crack... now THAT is over the line. James Cameron is such a fucking hack.

I'm beginning to suspect that James Cameron might have a significantly higher percentage of shit in him than I previously thought.
Now this guy made some of my all time favourite movies, but bashing those scenes from Alien? That's just... Weird?
How nice of him to give Ripley slightly better fitting panties for Aliens:

But he's so brave and courageous and bold.
