The Obligatory "What are you listening to" Thread

(Don't try to tell me anything about proper guitar playing. I play since I was 10 and I'm actually at a point where I'm able to realize what proper guitar playing is when I hear it...
And Jimmy Hendrix is god.)

@topic:

Die Ärzte - Anti-Zombie (live)

EDIT: (+1)

Because he didn't know the first thing about "proper" guitar playing. He got by on talent alone, not training, or education.

*high five*

Hendrix was ahead of his time, I will admit that.

The Postal Service - Such Great Heights

Monty Python - Every Sperm is Sacred
(composed by David Howman & Andre Jacquemins, preformed by Michael Palin & Terry Jones)

I love to listen to this when being in a cheerful mood.

Hrm... thinking about it, everyone here is gonna have a pretty wide range of tastes if only because of all the various languages we've got working here... I'm assuming for the most part, people here listen to music in their own languages...

Boyz II Men - A Mi Me Va Bien

Nope, even though I live in Poland, I very seldom listen to any Polish-spoken music. Of course there are a lot of Polish bands that sing (or more likely growl) in English, Vader for example.
I grew up listening to all kinds of metal and rock. I still do.
Listening to something "not English" seems very weird to me.

I'm German, but mostly listen to English music (as music aiming for an international market is usually English so it sells better), although much less in comparison to the average German.
The languages of music I listen to range from English, German, French and Norsk to various old or even ancient languages (Middle High German, Rotwelsh, Bretonian, Latin, ...), but I am not really all that picky as long as the music is good and doesn't get annoying fast.

Most German bands do English songs (either (almost) exclusively or as an addition to German songs) and I think that's true for most European bands -- maybe except for the French :).
Only few bands do only German songs, although some bands don't do any German songs at all (despite being German).
Some of the bands I like are obvious exceptions, such as In Extremo who have done songs in countless living and dead western language, although I do actually listen to Kaizers Orchestra, a band from Norway, who only do Norsk music. (hit me if I got that wrong, Scandinavian countries -- and I use the term "Scandinavia" in a very liberal way here -- are all the same to me).
