The Pets of NMA!

I have two pets, a dog and a cat.
The dog is called Max, and he looks mostly like an Australian collie, (instead of the yellow or brown shades of the regular collie it has black spots), although he is technically a 100% mongrel. He is the nicest dog I have ever had! He is very loving and empathetic. He always sleeps next to my bed. He is always playful and willing to receive your affection (usually petting). The thing he loves to do is play with his frisbee, although he hasn't quite mastered the fetching thing completely, that is to say that he runs after it, he may even catch it in mid flight, but for some reason he then expects you to run after him in order to get the frisbee back :) He is mostly fearless, but he seems to have this innate fear of watter and anything that involves getting wet (staying out in the rain, even for a few minutes and bathing). He also has a knack for digging really big holes, so my yard looks more like a minefield  . He loves to chase cats, not my cat, but any other "foreign" cat. One of the most lovable things about him is the way he begs for something, he just stands in front of you, doesn't bark or anything but he gives you the big puppy dog eyes :puppy-dog: and gently places one of his paws on your leg. He is so lovable!
And now on to my cat, a six months old tomcat called 13. He is pitch black, and he usually sucks up to anybody that is willing to pet him. He usually sleeps in my bed, and in the morning he comes up to me and licks my face (God, I wish he would brush his teeth every once in a while, or at least use some breath mints!). What more can I say, he is just a lovable ball of fur. :D
I hope I will find a way to post some photos of them!

I know it's been a while since anybody has posted here, but I finally got some pictures of my kitty...

Isn't he cute?

Très cute.

I'm a dog-man myself: I've got an Alaska Malamute (like the bar in Redding): basically a very big, very hairy, very lazy dog.
He never barks, for instance, he always howls. Not like a wolf though, but in a more lazy kind of way. It's kinda cool, really. Incredibly cute and adorable dog...

Come to think of it, he does bark, actually. But only at hot air balloons... Meh.

Malamutes are gorgeous, and I've heard very loyal. I've never met one though. Just seen them in books and on TV. They look soft and fuzzy.

They are, they are... I'll post a pic of him, this weekend, if I can find that damn digital camera somewhere...

So - as promised - here's a pic of my cuty-wuty-fuzzy-wuzzy dog.

No really, I just love the fella.

*EDIT* Picture was waaaaaay to big. For a decent-sized photo of him, scroll down.

Maybe if I stand 6 meters away from my computer, I'll be able to actually see something on that blurred color mix.

Couldn't you resize and contrast up the pic a little in photoshop?

Or are you trying to achieve a "Manet" effect? :D

Awright. Must. Post. Kitty.

His name is Edgar. Named after the musician, Edgar Winter.
Though, due to my little sister's adorable-ness, we call him "Cack".

Oh, and that dog thing.

My dog, Tippy, when she was a bit younger, and... thinner.
(She's a pretty plump pup now. Say that 5 times fast)

Wow. Either your dog is REALLY fuzzy, or your camera's out of focus :D

Is this the "singing dog" one of you were talking about? It doesn't bark, it emits this kinda coyote sound: http://www.akc.org/breeds/recbreeds/basenji.cfm

No. Malamutes and Basenji are pretty different dogs. Malamutes are those wolf-dogs, as demonstrated by Jebus in the monsterous picture above.

But Malamutes can bark, right? Basenjis yodle (sp?)

Sorry for that gigantic picture earlier... Here's a better-sized one:

He can, but he almost never does. As I said before (IIRC) he only barks at hot-air balloons... The only sound he normally utters is howling - kinda like a wolf, but much lower. Very cute, actually, how he throws his head back in his neck and utters that very, very low sound... He always dances a bit at the same time, then, jumping around on his back paws.

He looks kinda intimidating when you first see him (since he's so damn big), but he's actually the most gentle-natured dog I've seen in my entire life.
The only time he ever attacks other dogs, is when they try to fuck him in the arse.

Quite logical, I think.

Sorry to hear about your bunny, Meg. I always figured you for a cat person.

Oh and the singing dog is from New Guinea. I wonder if you can train them to sing "A louie, louie..Oh Louies, got to go know, wow wow, wow.."everytime it has to go out.

Thanks Dove, because I have absolutely no clue as to what kind it is.

Here are the kittens that "popped up" about a couple of months after Nucat moved in.
