Things Fallout 4 Got Right

Item design - it's obvious a lot of effort was put there. Just the sheer amount of different items helps to make the world more believable. Some cool looking weapons, especially the handcrafted stitched together pipe guns. (shame they became useless very quickly)

Environment design (not level design) - a lot of cool looking locations and landmarks from Boston. (shame they were filled with cannon fodder)

Character creator (not character progression or character building) - a nice tool with a lot of capabilities. It's a testament that some people tried making their characters look like celebrities and politicians from the real world in the first weeks after launch at great success.

Weather and atmospherics - may not always be realistic but sometimes serve to create very strong apocalyptic moods.

Item design is FUCKED in fallout 4, everything looks like garbage.

I think that was kind of the point. "Use trash to rebuild society" is kind of the entire concept of Fallout 4, so... at least you have a lot of garbage to pick! As much as I detest the idea of being a glorified scavenger for an entire playthrough, this is the one case in which Bethesda's philosophy to "go big" pays off.

They're likely going to keep the scrap and build system for the next game - and perhaps even TES VI. If they insist on the player being a scrap fiend, the story should support it.

No more "find my missing family member" plotholes while the gameplay encourages doing the opposite thing.

When parts of society are reduced to fucking tribals I wouldn't expect them to catch back up in 210 years
"Parts". Parts that the majority of people in fallout consider to be primitive dipshits. Also there are no tribals in fo4. And if they don't catch back up in 210 years... Thats horribly stupid. Look at junktown. Look at ncr and their advanced infrastructure. Hell Just look at west coast fallout in general.

Yes they are horribly stupid they blew up the world and they take their sweet time fixing it. Of course they are stupid

... What? How does that even work as an argument?
You said that if they don't fix shit in 210 years then they are horribly stupid. Yes the humans in Fallout 4 are horribly stupid. Just 210 years ago the stupid people of the fallout 4 world blew up the world

Okay so... Then you agree that this is bullshit and dumb. What are we debating then?

I'm agreeing that they are stupid which helps my argument of understanding why they are taking so damn long fixing things.
No it doesn't. The character in the game aren't even dumb. Their just... Idle. Like in fo3 when you have many "intelligent" characters but there are no companies or jobs..even the slaves are idle in that game its ridicoulous. So why would people on the east coast be so dumb and inactive? Whats your excuse?
