Things that Fallout 3 did right!

smdh. That's Bethesda for you. Though I would think the Brotherhood out west would probably do the same thing. Maybe, no. I don't think they would try to risk open conflict like that.
Based on lore for New Vegas, they at least wanted to try that. Or wanted to keep the tech of the NCR down.

The only difference is that the West Coast, with the NCR, was actually recovering and had resources so that went south fast for the Brotherhood.

For the East Coast, nobody has resources to take on the Brotherhood. I don't see how the people of the Capitol Wasteland didn't go to war with the Brotherhood

Probably. Lucky for them, there were yellow skinned orcs around.
Speaking of that. Do you at least think they would've destroyed Vault 87? I mean if based on reality a bit here. Within the first 25 years after the great war Vault 87 would be kaput. Realizing that mutants had been a problem for centuries, you would've at least think they would try to destroy Vault 87.

Like the game suggests, no resources. Even though a significant enough gap of time would have passed in the CW to allow the residents to organize, develop and gather resources to combat the threat. But of course, the game's writing does not account for that.

Well that's Bethesda for you. Shit writers. If I had to write Fallout 3 in the CW. I would've never brought super mutants into the fray. The only ones that exist in 2277 would be the remnants of the Master's Army coming to set up anew under a new leader. Or if the Vault 87 mutants exist, they exist because of the remnants destroyed at least 160 years ago.

I mean sure, no resources. But they could've always banded together and make a Confederation to ensure the safety and security of everyone in the Capital Wasteland. They would've shared resources and tried to expand to get more. That's how the NCR started. But...Bethesda happened.
