Things we learned from New Vegas

62. Although there were only a handful of bigger gun manufacturers in the last 200 years in US, everyone and their abusive stepmother owns a gun and ammo for it.

There's 200+ million guns in civilian hands in the US today. The NCR has a population of something like 700.000 people in the F2 era, perhaps a bit more by the time of the events of NV.

hahahahahaha what

A lot of the Women's clothes in the game is overly slutty IMO.

62. Robots have perfect balance. Otherwise, how could they balance on that one wheel?

63. Despite everyone being stuck in 50s mode, people still talk like it's today's time.

64. It is possible to learn to be sociable and talk to people better by killing things.

They work like Segways?

To be fair, Segways aren't unicycles.

Segways work by way of more or less an inverted pendulum, using computer controlled gyroscopic motors to maintain it's balance. Without power, they're just as likely to fall over as anything else.

Securitrons are a little too... well, top-heavy to work on the same principle. And even if they did, no power, remember?

Which do you mean?
The only ones that look particularly 'slutty' to me are the prostitute clothings, and well, that's kind of the point.
But then again, I'm a filthy, godless, western heathen, so my opinion is the one of the devil anyway.

I like you.

Maybe she's using one of those 'adult' clothing mods, I believe they make most female outfits outrageously slutty :P

With the exception of obvious stuff like prostitute outfits and sexy sleepwear et al, I'm curious about what vanilla outfits would be considered slutty-looking?

Also awesome with the securitrons maintaining balance in spite of getting hit with a railgun projectile.

It's funny cause the sexy sleepwear/naughty nightwear is basically just a nightie. It is not sexy in the slightest :iiam:

Strike. Keep it up and you're going to be banned.

Well, Raider armor shows quite some skin, but it does so for both genders so I don't know. I guess you could count the skin-tight leather armors, but they also are like this on males. It's not like in, say, Oblivion where a perfectly fine Huntsman's Vest became a fur bra when worn by the fairer sex. So yeah, apart from the whore outfits (which can't be anything but what they are because, well...), I don't really see how the clothing in this game is slutty. Indeed, New Vegas, hell the Fallout franchise in general is much, much tamer than the majority of the industry on that issue.

That said, it's no reason to figuratively jump at Sabirah. She (it's she, right? can never remember, sorry) is entitled to her opinion.

I do agree with everything in the post though.

If we count DLCs, weren't the female models of the HH outfits fairly skimpy?

Okay I'll rephrase that. Basically what I meant is that while most of the clothes (outside of the raider and prostitute getups) are Unnecessarily skimpy. What I mean by that is like the red merc suit. For the male people wearing it it is a red shirt with a (Bulletproof?) vest over it. Very simple and has a masculine ruggedness to it. The Female equivalent is a v neck that exposes the character's midriff. Not overly Slutty, but noticeably skimpier, especially how it is supposed to be protective.

65. Despite it being very hot out, A lot of people wear leather. The mojave must have a bad stink to it :D

66. old 1800s bullets are more useful than futuristic lazers

67. Despite the fact the world ends 2081, No one seems to have a cellphone or the internet.

68. Although people suffer from drought and starvation they still seem to have the time to watch animals fight each other.

69. Though almost all of the ladies and men in Gomorrah are technically prostitutes, only a few are willing to have sex with you.

Oh, and bare midriffs on armor that's explicitely non-protective is OK to me too, a far cry from the stuff the games industry regularily churns out (and Obsidian is also kinda guilty, look at the female characters in Dungeon Siege 3, especially Katarina). There's only a handful of NPCs who wear merc armor in New Vegas, unlike in FO3, so I guess I didn't remember those.

About the skin-tight black leather, yeah, that's not the greatest thing to wear in a desert I wager. Then again your character is able to carry around 150 pounds without any hindrance; there's a point where acceptable breaks from reality are neccessary; for some people it's just easier to get there than for others. I would just dye the armor to a light brown or somesuch, less heat more camo.

Depends on your definition of unnecessary. Sex will always be a useful trait.

Also, a lot of old designs hold true today. John Moses Browning designed the slide design on pistols way back around the turn of the century and it's still hideously common today. Ditto with the action used in the M2 and M1919; still relatively common and used today. The FN MINIMI/M249 use it, just to throw out a name. 9x19mm Parabellum is also really old, what with it being designed in 1901. Don't fix what isn't broken.
