Honestly, should we even take what Matty says on Fallout 1, 2, and New Vegas seriously anymore?
It's pretty obvious Matty only likes Fallout because he can shoot stuff like the mindless casual he is and that it's made by Bethesda. But the fact that Matty and LoneVaultWanderer claim to be Fallout fans, they claim to be big fans, when saying the originals and New Vegas weren't as good as 3 and 4, shows to me that they're just total frauds.
Frauds who seem to have an interest in Fallout, when in reality they're just interested in it because it's made by Bethesda.
They don't understand Fallout and what it is.
They don't understand the lore hidden in the games, I bet they don't even pay any close attention to it.
They don't understand why people think Fallout 4 is a bad game.
They still don't understand why New Vegas is getting more and more praise each day, even though it's pretty obvious.
They don't quite understand the appeal the originals it had and why fans love them.
It's honestly disappointing to see so many people like Matty who act this way in the Fallout community.
For some reason, I even find Mattys voice pretty obnoxious. Makes it hard to listen to him. Now, Matty as 'fans'. Well I like the term Fallout tourist, not fan in this case. How can you be a Fallout fan, by disliking the first game? That alone, disqualifies you in my opinion, because it makes you simply put, a tourist as far as the franchise goes. They don't really like Fallout, they just like the setting, the style of a 50s vision of the future blown to pieces. But the setting of Fallout, never was the core of the game. You could replace it, with anything else really, from a medieval high fantasy setting, A Sci-Fi game with lazers and star ships or even a mix of Steam-Punk-low-tech-magic - see Arcanum. It wouldn't change that much. Why? Because the core of Fallout 1, when you go with the comments of the developers, was the role playing, the turn based combat and a top down/isometric view only after that, did they considered the setting, which is also a unique trait of Fallout, but not the only one. And Fallout 4, pretty much has NONE of that, outside of the Fallout paint - the setting, it's not even much of a role playing game at this point.

You should have seen Matty's original 'reviews' of Fallout 1 and 2. He dislike both of them and said so in his review.
Then when he tried to look good in front of Pete, Pete roasted him by pointing out that he knew about the classics (probably long before Matty even probably realised the classics existed). As a result, he immediately rushed to change the record by releasing a new video, claiming that he somehow gets the games now.
He's a textbook sycophant and shill with unnaturally high sensitivity (if his reaction to criticism is anything to go by). As such, he is better off being ignored and disregarded since any and all of his opinions are pointless and offer no contribution in the long run.
Plus his voice is annoying.

Honestly, that's pretty much the only good thing I liked about Pete.
His voice tends to have this condescending vibe to it as well, which isn't helping making his voice any better to listen to.
However, if you want to see a more pretentious and condenscending voice...then I would recommend listening to LoneVaultWanderer. Something about his voice makes him sound worse than Matty.
Well, you can say about Pete, Todd and Emil what you want, but as far as I know, they never really shat over the old games and they expressed their respect for the achievements for the old developers. How could you not? F1 was the first game, and you will never get closer to what Fallout is, than that. Without Fallout 1, no Fallout franchise, and if you made millions of dollars based on this franchise, you HAVE to show SOME respect for the work.

I mean I don't really like Pete, Todd, or Emil. But I at-least can respect the fact that they respected Interplay, Black Isle, and possibly Obsidian for their work on Fallout.

MrMatty's best video is his collab with LVW wherein they attempt to criticize Fallout New Vegas. I've probably linked it before, but their "points" are so laughable that they only serve as proof that they haven't played NV.

Also that New Vegas video is definitely Matty's "best" video, which is tied between his "SAYING FALLOUT 4 IZ BAD GAEM IS DISRESPECTFUL!!1!11!" video and his "FALLOUT 4 IS A NEAR PERFECT GAME!!11!!" review.

Disregarding common sense and critical thought to fanboy over a company that probably only regards them as quick ways to get more money. Hitting against critique (fair/harsh) regardless of merit to defend their beloved companies.
I guess they do represent the face of the modern Fallout tourist.
Well, of course I am not living in this illusion that they 'understand' Fallout or that they actually bought the IP to do it justice and making a proper sequel. Or they would have simply done that.
For them, I believe, Fallout is first and foremost another cash cow. I mean for fucks sake, they don't even respect the IP that was developed by Bethesda, namely The Elderscrolls. But at least, I can't remember an instance where they directly called the previous games outright 'bad'. And I even believe that a certain amount of criticism is even fair, I mean neither Fallout nor Morrowind are perfect games or without flaws. Fallout 1 could have done better with a more sophicistacted combat mechanic closer to Jagged Alliance in detail, where as Morrowind could get pretty boring with it's wikipedia like dialog.
