Absolutely, I'm not saying none of it has merit, but you really have to wade through the bullshit which is sad because there is good conversation to be had over there and its great place to find obscure games.
 
Serious question to you guys, can someone explain again why it is called Torment:Tides of Numenera and not just Tides of Numenera? Sorry if that sounds dumb.
 
The engine already sucked in Wasteland 2. Hope the content is good.
About the price, same. I don't intend to spend that much caps on a game.
I guess i am not the target audience for day one sell figures.
 
Is the game good though ? I saw it on the xbox store. £42 or something similar so its a full retail release withc is werid i have't heard to much about it (From youtube etc). Seems to just come out of no where I have never played planet scape either so I don#t even know if I'd like it

Who knows. The "elite fanbase" seems to be shitting on it (some still for the cut content) and the shit-tier jounros are praising it. A normal situation with any new AAA waste-of-time, but this was supposed to be "old school" - and judging from the beta it is too. So either something went wrong, or there's been some juvenile expectations of exceeding the memory of PS:T's original impressions.

I backed the game, but I'm not going to play before I get my GOG key so I can't tell what the end result is.

It's also supposed to be thematically in line with original Torment. I have read conflicting cases on whether or not this is actually true.
 
Despite the shit NMA gets for being negative Nancy's (which is only partially true, yes some people vehemently hate Bethesda but its idiotic to assume the community is a hive mind) Codex is utter trash. Racism, sexism, homophobia and all the other bad stuff. Its like watching a bunch of 30 something's who have never gone outside once in their life shit talk each other. Sure you may find some good discourse but you are gonna need to go through a lot of filth.
 
Well I finished the game and here are some tips:

While the game is enjoyable I don´t think it´s worth 45€. Wait for a discount

Talk to everyone.

The tab key shows all the examine, interact, and loot options on the screen

Helping Rhin get home pays up greatly at the end.

I just got the necropolis, finished the main thing in Sagus and did a handful of the side quests. Skipped a few tbh. (I hate kids in games mostly so Rhin pisses me off to no end)

Its mostly good-ish, I like unlike PST it doesn't force combat or throw combat randomly. On the flip side I have been able to peacefully talk my way out of everything and it can feel at times like im reading a 3D novel at times and less so a CRPG. I find myself missing the more "gamey" PoE and Wasteland 2 especially. Hell I played Tyranny on story mode and I was a bit more engaged with it than I am here.

Im not saying its bad, but the dialogue like PoE is kinda bloated. It feels like a chore to read instead of the good snappyness of Fallout or Wasteland 2. I would argue Fallout wasnt that combat heavy but it balanced gameplay, exploration, interesting quests and conversations in a good way.
