Toxic-Mod announcement

It was an expansion of the 3rd floor of the toxic caves map. The third floor was a old toxic waste disposal plant. It was infested with fire geckos and a couple of robots. I was going to use it to introduce the Environmental armour from Fallout Tactics I converted to Fallout 2.

The armour also added a few benefits such as being able to enter the mien at broken hills and the nuclear power plant with out taking damage. It was also going to include a a quest from broken hills to get the mutant haters some protective gear so they didnt need the ghouls around.

I was also going to modify the toxic waste dump map to include a small office that belonged to the same company as the toxic caves. The player would need to get a part to fix a broken computer from there. The location would be fixed and no longer a random area.

I have all the work on this including the maps and some scripts and the design document if anyone wants it.
 
Environmental armour is the best 8)
But i test it from critters pack and he walk too slowly, try cut some frames to speed-up.

Location under toxic caves sure might be larger, used to some experiments with radioactive weapon (maybe atomic or virus bomb prototype) I seen something like this on tv serie "4panzers nad dog" (even i found myself strange bunker over hills near city i live- got no windows only ladder to underground) i like places like this.
 
If you need to speed up the walking aniamtions use Frame animator and in the options for the FRM try:

- Increasing the 'Frames Per Second' (FPS)
- Increasing the frame offset x,y values.

If you download the hero animations expansion pack I made it includes some new attacks modes for the Environmental armour and I have improved the Missile luancer animations for the environmental armour as well.

I finished all the new art for it, and Coljack did the main map, and a lot of the scripts. Just never got around to completing it sorry :(

Like I said, I can send someone the parts if they want to include it in a mod, the art is already uploaded to NMA
 
Well, how much more would you have to do to finish it? Since Celestial disappeared off the face of the Earth I was looking forward to another big mod to play.
 
If you want a really big mod ot play then I think dude_obj and Corpse's new mod should meet your expectations, it even includes new armour and critters along with new ammo types that do massive damage and extra hard critters to balance it all out. Random loot etc... for increased replay. It will be the clossest thing to an expansion for Fallout 2

Working hard to get the beta release out. The new randomization capabilities are taking a while to stabilize. Currently at release level alpha 7-6. I am trying to make sure there are no nasty (read: crash) bugs before Beta 1 release. Wild_qwerty's FoT critters and weapons are a nice addition, and corpse added a bunch of more weapons, including power stompers (boots that are like power fists).

Damn it! Tell him to stopping thinking of the same things I do :lol:

We've already made the low tech versions of this for MR last year, kind of like the feet equilent of nuckle duster and spiked nuckles
 
Toxic caves Mod

I see the mod has died or disappeared? Any update or word on it. Cause if it is up and around, I can gladly test it out!

I'm trying to locate the part thats done of the toxic mod but I have troubles of finding it. Its on NMA. I would love to see the toxic maps.
 
seems that interest in this mod still lives... might be i'll have to see if we can finish it..
