I'm kind of reminded of how things were in the late 80's and early to mid 90's under Reagan & Bush 1, and to an extent under Dubya. Lot's of inner city violence and other problems in US domestically. Not sure if it'll be exactly like that but, it might be something like that.

Damage has been done but as I said before, it's forgivable given his circumstances and health issues. Chemo drains you.

Would have preferred to see an apology to the fans since the majority of them didn't deserve this sudden backlash from him. I'll still look at him for his opinions/coverage of upcoming games and what not, but I'll take his political opinion with a grain of salt (if that).

Too me it seems that TB has the same problem as my cousin in that he needs to interact with more people who's views are different from his so he can at lest understand where they are coming from. I wasn't a big fan of Bernie Sanders but after talking with some of the others here on NMA I decided to hear Sanders supporters out. Granted I still don't agree with everything with Bernie Sanders but I understand his supporters grievances and where they're coming from. This is what happens when you close yourself off from the world and make a bubble or "safe space" for yourself.

From what I know, in the US people don't really care about how they are perceived globally by other nations. And I guess they have that right. It's still a bit sketchy with a lot of issues, some talk of Putin now marching into other countries in addition to Ukraine etc. When people bring up the even racist stuff by Trump, there might not be a problem with racism in the US, it is the great melting pot afterall, but in places like eastern Europe it's different. Folks that look exactly like each other, talk same language, etc. are ready to kill each other like in ex-Yugoslavia and now in Ukraine.
 
In all honesty, I might just start doing some political commentaries which are basically just me taking the piss out of everything.
Just do it for the sake of satire, and there's a lot of people to laugh at.

I will give Ken this, his post is much more tame then from what I have seen from say Laci Green, Anthony and Ashley Burch, Bioware, Gearbox, Johnathon McIntosh, Franchesca Ramsey, Anita, AngryJoe, Brad Jones, Anal Awesome and the rest of the left-leaning Hollywood celebs. Will give Ken a point for at lest showing and having restraint.

I would like to recommend a comedy novel by a friend of mine named Stephen Kozeneiwski called EVERY KINGDOM DIVIDED.

Anita certainly isn't a communist as she's done quite well for herself as a speech giver, which isn't an insult, just a statement of fact. However, I will state that she is a master of hyperbole and her particular branch of feminism is conflated with pacifism which means that every game review basically takes time to also talk about how women who fight as as bad as women who are sexualized.

I generally prefer sex-positive feminist Liana Kerzner who I feel has a much more rounded view of the subject.

Albeit, man, does she hate Anita. Like if internet celebrities were a fighting game, she'd be the one who follows her to do battle.

Ehhh, part of the problem with Putin is that he was in a great position for Russia to reclaim its position as a global superpower but he's obsessed with rebuilding the Soviet Union republic by republic. Also, restoring its military supremacy. Which resulted, of course, in spending more money on the military than they have and sanctions which led to economic depression.

Like most dictators, he seems unable to keep his ego in check.

I'm being incredibly delicate about the fact Anita has made a shit ton of money from her role as a speaker on feminism and video games-which I don't want to put down because I'd love to speak about that sort of stuff and get invited to the Colbert show to talk about video games and their deep meaning.

I also feel like Anita bashing tends to ignore the actual flaws in her argument, which are myriad, to go for the cheap shot.
