What I meant was that the engine has to be good to allow the company to keep using it.
Gamebryo can be good sometimes, not the best, but sometimes. It just takes knowing how to use it properly to make it work. Look at New Vegas, for all it's faults, it was a huge improvement to Fallout 3. Same assets, same everything more or less and after the patches it wasn't bad. Skyrim is using the Creation engine which is just a modified Gamebryo and there seems to be a lot of possibilities with that engine, Bethesda just doesn't take that extra mile with it.
