Fallout 2 mod Unofficial MIB88 MegaMod Gameplay Help

Where is the guy how can teach me how to mine some ore?? I try Redding and Brokne Hill and did not find him... :(
Can someone can give me some hint?

I do not know the original intent of the creators. I don't know if Ian was supposed to be killed, or if he is just supposed to move on. I included it just as I received it. Someday I'll work out something better.

You can not be taught how to mine ore. You just do it (meaning, use the required items).

I reload a save before I get to VC. I will try different dialog option to see if Ian will continue to "die"

Perhaps Ian (Old Joe) have something to do with the Vault village.

For the purpose of mining some ore I figure out, take a lot of time to get some...

I am in SAD (almost everything other have done) in the lowest floor. But if I want to go up, fallout 2 gets extreme memory leak (about 190MB ram, i am playing it on old computer whith 320MB ram, so it crash into system), is this some bug?
 
I cannot get Maria to talk to me. I'm sure it's not a bug, I just don't know what exactly what to do. I've combed through old posts here and I noticed something about the Klamath vertibird, so I went back and used the binoculars and got the Toxic Caves map. I went back to Maria and she still wouldn't respond. I got the black box and the keycard that I had kept from the crash (that I had previously visited waaay early, but I don't throw away any 'quest' items, I store them all on Cassidy :D) and she still wouldn't respond. What am I doing wrong? Who else do I need to talk to?

and if the BOS Bunker isn't in this version, is there any point to getting the vertibird anyway? I'm itching to destroy Navarro, but I don't want to do it if I'm going to be missing out on something.
 
You should still be able to talk to Maria, regardless of whether you have looked at the vertibird or have certain items in your inventory. Does she just stand there?

And, as long as you are able to learn certain information from Maria (provided that you are able to talk to her), you can still get the vertibird. It has nothing to do with the new bunker.
 
she is stuck on the inspection line. I can't find any way to get her off this. I played an old version of this mod about half a year ago and I definitely remember talking to her, but I don't remember what I did...
 
I need some help with the megamod. The head of the abbey won't talk to me because I'm working with some other faction he opposes. What this faction is, I don't know.
I took off all power armors (BOS and Enclave) and even ditched Markus. Still he refuses to talk to me.

I also encountered a bug: After I robbed the Redding townhall and returned to Jack he still had the dialog to conclude the New Reno Basement robbing-quest. I clicked this dialog and after that he said that there are no new quests. I suppose that's a bug.

And is there a walkthrough for the Megamod? I don't want to miss anything important.

PS: The young monk in the basement told me the story about his dead parents and an experiment but than fell back into the "sheesh" and "don't touch anything" routine like all the other monks. Isn't there supposed to be a quest?
The old monk talked to me a bit but when I clik on him now he doesn't say a peep. No dialog, and no floating text.
That's a pretty buggy location, alright.

PPS: Oh yeah, and English bob gave me the "kill a kid at tubby's" quest a second time now, so I can't advanced this quest line either. fuck
 
Is there any form of walkthrough for the megamod? I seem to remember a link somewhere here but i'm unable to locate it.. please help, i'm stuck right at the beginning (after the new temple of trials, which was pretty cool).
 
Lots of people have asked about a walkthrough. A few have said they would work on one. However, no one has done that. I do not plan on making a walkthrough. It is kinda pointless when I keep adding/changing/fixing (and breaking) things.
If someone wants to create one, then great. I may assist/answer questions. However, my focus is on modding (limited as it is, due to real life obligations).

I suggest you read through this thread. Also, you could visit the TeamX forum and read about the New Vision mod for help with the New Temple of Trials.
 
Well, my problem is quite simple. In the BOS facility, I'm trying to cure Lenny. But I got to find the right sequence in the computer so the experience can succeed... my problem is that I haven't managed to find that damn sequence... and the number of combinations are just... HUGE (screenshot 1). So I guess I may have missed something that should show me the right way to follow. Any idea? do I have to find this sequence by myself, or is there a NPC supposed to give me a clue?




P.S => BTW, there's something wrong with the autodoc. It's not the right description :

Oh, yeah, I remember adding that and trying to test it out. It's hard, I know. I may have to go back and change that part of the Alternative Life mod. I only found the solution by taking apart the script, and don't remember if there was another character to provide a hint as to the correct sequence. Ok, that is a good idea, you had. I need to add a character or change the dialog to make it a little easier to figure out. It is not intuitive at all. For that, I'd just tell you the solution. But, I do not have access to my computer yet. Maybe another week. When I get to it, I will find the correct sequence and post it here. The only other way to get it is by luck.

OK, thanks. I got a suggestion. You could add the same thing than in the computer in the nuclear power station in Gecko. You see what I mean? You just have to add the reg-mag in the computer, and then you have to find the right combination between :

Amplify Plutonium-Gamma Shield
Deharmonize Neptunium Impeller
Calibrate Uranium-Rod Driver
Set Voltage on Saturn-Class Capacitor
Test Jupiter Wave Compiler
Repair

what is great with how to find out what is the right combination to fix the centrale, is that you can try an action at the time : for example, you just have to add "Amplify", and the robot can try this at once. And then you just have to find the other words with the same method. In the BOS facility, you can only test the WHOLE sequence, which is complicated.

Well to sum up my gobbledygook, being able to try an entry at the time would be much better than to try a whole sequence.

Ok, then, the answer is only possible by guessing correctly for now. Like I said, I had to take apart the script to find the answer. It is not intuitive. And, unlike the Gecko reactor, you cannot see your progress. I have no idea how to script it as you suggest, though. Rather, I do know how to script it, but it makes for a REALLY long script. I'll come up with a solution that is easier to implement.
