Fallout 2 mod Unofficial MIB88 MegaMod Gameplay Help

1: I haven't changed the radscorpion's strength since New Vision 2 was implemented at the beginning of this project. The only thing I changed was that you can receive a dose of radiation by being around them (as much as 15 depending on how close you get).

6. Yeah, I'll have to add new critters to the list of protos. Seems as though the errors are received if certain critters are reused.

9. They are the same person. I tried to catch all references and change them to Humphrey.

10. Where exactly is this? I obviously changed a location from off to on accidentally for which there is no map available.

11. Leaving Tony's stash no longer leads you to the EPA, but back to the main Colly map.

Edit: The reason you just appeared in the desert west of New Reno is because that is where you would be when you leave the EPA. However, since you hadn't learned of it's location yet, (the location wasn't turned on), it seems as though you just appeared out of nowhere.
 
About that black city, it should be Redding. First when I was looking for Collyweb (yeah I know, it's SW of Den, not SE) I found this city. I thought Redding is much souther. But this black city has no Redding around, so it it Redding.

Yup, luckily I made to get from desert full of deathclaws, aliens, fire geckos back to Collyweb... 3 times :)

About different names in Collyweb I found another:

Tony Exacto/Tony Vernjak
Red/Rusty
Josie/Jozy

Nice Easter Egg with Tony and his Not-in-this-mod city :)

I don't understand what happened to that map file. I can't even open it in the mapper, as it gives me some error about locating the start hex. I haven't made any changes to that map, only a script on that map. Using the reddown map from an earlier version will work. I'll move the timeline up on a 2.35.1 patch and have that and a few other fixes available in a few days.

As for those names that were different, do you remember who you were talking to when you saw them?
 
The names were different when I first talked with Leyla - she told me she's Ganfrie's girlfried... about others - they have different names in PipBoy quest log. I saw Tony Exacto and Rusty only there.
 
Ok, before I get flamed or something for posting something that's been mentioned to be buggy or brought up, this is my First time ever playing the Megamod. I just got the 2.35 installed and am starting a new game on Fallout 2, a game I not played in almost a decade or so.
-If this is a repeat of something that just going back in this thread will answer, then don't comment. I will find it then otherwise eventually. It saves time on everyones parts and I do not wish to waste anyones time. But if it is new, I hope to hear from ya. Moving on and thanks for any responses.


This may seem stupid but I figured I'd bring it up before I got ahead of myself and/or ruined this plathrough. Again. XD

1-Anyway, I began a new game, yada yada yada, I was on my way out, talked to Slik, listened to him ramble on forever it seemed (nice assed story though) and then the topic came up about the Vault 13 water flask. I'd actually forgotten about that and if not for his brief mention, I would've ran off with no idea.

Here's the thing: He mentions that he gave it to the Elder. I go to talk to her about it... and nothing. I figured a new dialog option woud've cropped up letting me ask about it, thus her giving it to me for my quest. *Rubs head.* If I get it somehow else, then thats fine. I just don't like backtracking for stupid reasons when I could put the question here and see if that was a slip-up, or intentional (like, it moved elsewhere, or was it removed entirely?) As I recall, it was pretty minor anyway, but it was a detail that I'm curious about now.


2-Other oddity: (Pardon if I'm reposting things too. There's quite a bit of pages here it seems and I'm trying my best to read them, while still trying not to ruin future quests for myself. I like mystery. >_> )
Now, the Mynoc and little mini-quest to get a sharpened spear. You can get a flint, and then not even Have a spear, and still get the sharpened spear from him.
He asks for yours, and the only option says you give him yours. Poof, magical spear from nothingness. Or maybe he fashioned the whole thing from the little flint. :P


Actually, that might be interesting. What if you didn't have a normal spear, but you got him to make a makeshift spear using the flint itself? Higher damage than a sharpened pole, Yet not quite the damage of a normal Spear.


3-Other oddity: I've not even left Arroyo yet. Yet got a quest in the Primitive Village finished. I was just looking at the Pipboy for the very first time and poof, there was the Primitive village listed already. WITH a finished quest. Yay, my alternate reality self must be doing some good somewhere, lol.
 
I just started a thread for 2.35 (and later) bug reporting. Please post all future comments there.

Regarding the flask, why do you need it? Why do you want it so badly? What does it have to do with your quest to help the village?

How did you not have a spear when you spoke to Mynoc? Did you drop them? You get or have access to at least two of them.

This bug report about the finished quest is useless to me. I need to know what you did in Arroyo. And, just as important, I need to know the quest that appeared as being completed.
 
Ok, I got two, minor questions.

1-The Barrett you find at the beginning, does it have a use yet? The few questions to this that I seen earlier said no, and was wondering if that is still so. (I always imagined that it'd be used for your first MrFixIt recipe. Cannibalize it to make your first Pipe Rifle anyone?)

2- I found this Wanderer's Rifle. I'm guessing its a homage to the Wasteland, but unsure, never played the old game. But anyway, is there any 9mm ammo in the game that can be used with it, or is it just something for show? Or does it have a bigger purpose? I'm gonna be holding onto it anyway, though I was wondering.
 
The Barret has no use. But, maybe I will add something later to give it some use. And, there is 9 mm ammo in the game.

does smb know where I could find the key to open the Vault 14 door? IT's all right Tom just have told me :)

Moreover I want to copy the information from the NCR computer, but this one also requires somekind of pass.

About the abbey, if you choose as a reward the holodisk instead of +2 INT. How can u use it, is it worth it?
 
Well, I get that encounter with dead mutants and key after I get location of Vault 14 from Military Base.. but, I had Luck 10, so it might take a while till you get this encounter

NCR computer requires a key - you can steal that key from Carlson. Use key on computer and then you should be able to copy data from NCR computer.

Abbey holodisk is good only for copying the data from BoS Research Facility, Shi, Hubologist, NCR and Ruined Reactor. You do gain +2 IN if you choose implant, but you'll loose -1 PE

Bout the NCR PC , well I stole from him the documents needed for the clearance/force field down, but I don't see any key on him.

Regardin holodysk, aaa so I need it in the first place in order to copy the informations from the computers??

Carlson and Tandi advisor are different persons. The guy with the key is in the building with computer. He is in southern room.
 
Has Combat Armor MkII been implemented? I don't like wearing PA, so finding that in my present game would be a good thing.

*Hasn't yet worn PA, and sold the one you get from the Toad brother.*

I found the information regarding it in the Shi computers ( I think) though I wonder if it can be applied.
 
Well, you can find Enviromental Armor from Fallout Tactics in EPA. But if it is that CAMKII you mentioned, I don't know.
 
That should be enough. The another way to get in is during quest Bring holodisk to professor Steel.

2. what quest, where I can receive it?

I reckon prof Steel is inside the BOS facility. Hello.. I`m not even down there
