Fallout 2 mod Unofficial MIB88 MegaMod Gameplay Help

I has ingame trouble with MM 2.44. My char has lost all his AC.
And that AC loss not in one moment. I play the game, then save&exit. When I load my save game, I notice, that AC lowered - it was 28 when I save and when I load AC was only 18. I did not attach importance to that... But whe I load quicksave after fail turn, I notise, that my AC lowered to 16. And when I open inwentory, in inwentory AC wac only 10. I unequip and equip my armor again, and AC became 10. I exit FO2, launch it again, load - and AC became only 4, an when I quickload one more time, AC became 0 - no matter with or without armor. Can that be fixed?

I have a little problem... The car broke down. I guess I got lucky to be able to travel around for months before it broke.... The fule cell controller gor busted. I went to Smitty, he fixed the part for me but now I can't install it back. I presume my repair skill isn't high enough? I think it was around 73% at the moment. The way to replace parts is to use them from the inventory, right? That seems to be the only way I get the message "you fail to replace...."

Is there any other way to install the repaired parts and what is the skill requirement to do it?

 

Well, the requirement to install it yourself in the first place instead of buying the car from Smitty is around 105-110%. I'd wager that's what you need.

I tested this with savegame editor... Repair around 100% takes ages to do it, over 120% does it with one to five tries. I guess I will allocate some serious skillpoints to repair. Another question, is Smitty the only NPC from whom you find the paint or is there some other place/NPC who has the stuff? T-ray wants three cans of the stuff to paint the car.... Its gonna take some while if Smitty is the only one.

 

Holy shit, can you paint the car? I'm going to have to try the Megamod at some point. Do you know if that feature is available as a standalone release? I'm kinda married to Killap's RP.

 

Yes you can. I think that's one of Nirran's mods.... Smitty sells paint buckets randomly, apparently when you get three of those, get to T-ray and he'll paint the car for you. I dunno how much it costs or if its free after making him believe PC is one of the Mordinos men. Anyway, apparently you can paint the car at least in black.. Somebody mentioned black with some blue stripes or something like that.

I'm playing through MM for the first time and I don't even know all the additions there as I can't seem to find a complete list of changes... I can't wait for the next big update with RP included. That's going to be the coolest thing since sliced bread.

 

Search for keyword "huntress" on advanced search within posts and even though it turns up 9 posts none of them have "huntress" in them... odd.

I found a spot where someone asks if Lucas will allow a female character to become a warrior but no one answered that question.

Will Lucas offer the warrior quest to a female? Sex Appeal trait and Kama Sutra Master perk don't help. He ignore's the seductive smile dialog option.
My character's speech skill isn't over 20% at this point.

 

Nope. Arroyo is a little behind the times with regards to equal opportunity. Women characters cannot become hunters.

 

Oh so even if she gets the dialog to dig a well/fence posts she's not getting the warrior quest. Guess it's shaman time or nothin'.

EDIT: I figured out the dialog file (it's not aclucas.msg but acfist.msg) and I saw the options :

So I guess a strength of 6 isn't enough and she'd need to up her strength to get that first dialog choice.

I have a few questions.

1. Is it possible to be a hunter and shaman together and how do you make it possible within the short time you have. If I do the shaman quest first and try to speak with Lucas later, he does not offer it anymore.

2. Being a arroyo hunter do you get any special skills? As for example the shaman can do different recipes.

3. There is a new Bounty Hunter Perk. What does it make? Is it worth to take it? The Perk description does not tell much and I didn't found a readme with more explanations. No luck searching the WWW, too.

4. I found no way to decompile the int-files to start later my own modifications and compile them later again. I found a int2ssl.exe, but the ssl-file is empty if I use it. I would like to find out how to add some mods like the book mods for all skills. I can read programming language a little bit. ssl-files from mods I saw didn't look so complicated, but I never compiled anything.

5. Which skills are worth to get over 100% or even 200% (especially in the Megamod)?
I know already all weapon skills are usefull over 100%. (Or better all you want to use in the game!)
Also Science is important to wear later heavy armor, also together with Repair to loot armor at all.

What about First Aid, Doctor, Steal, Traps, Sneak, Speech, Barter, Gambling, Outsdoorman?

I'm not sure why they did made a First Aid and a Doctor Skill at all. If you increase Doctor, do you really need First Aid to increase?

6. How does the Perk 'Pack Rat' work? After reading about the Perk in Fallout Wikia I'm still not sure how it works in F2

7. Some Perks give a +X on some attributes for specific situation. Does +3 on Perception with 'Cautious Nature' also mean that Perception can be for the specific situation 11(-13) if you have a perception of 8(-10).

You learn to skin a certain critter.

Will open up the possibility to kill certain critters in order to retrieve bounties. This has not been fully implemented yet.

I have no idea what the kids are using these days, but I use the Ruby decompiler, with some modifications from Nirran in order to use some of the sfall functions.

There are a few instances throughout the game that check for high skills. However, there is nothing else, really, that is useful all throughout the game... yet.

If a script calls for a check on your perception (during dialog, for example), it does not necessarily check for modifications due to perks. Some scripts may check whether or not you have a perk, though. Just depends on the script.

 

I have a little problem, I can't find the raiders south of Vault City.
I checked all squares south from VC until I arrived Broken Hills. But not only all the squares under VC, also walked 2 squares left and 2 right from them till broken city. No unknown green circle appeared.

I spoke with Stark and the first citizen about it. Which was very hard. I really, really want only put a few bullets in her head.

 

I vaguely(last played in 2008) recollect having the same problem. In order to render the Raiders location visible, you have to chat up that prick sheriff Stark, but tough I talked to him and every other thinkable NPC related to this quest, it just wasnt there. I suspect it is some rare bug which crawls out only now and then.
I solved it by loading the latest save slot before entering VC. You would have to repeat part of the game but as far as I remember it worked.

On a second thought. Another way to learn the location is by reading the map locked in the safe in the Bishops casino in NR.
On a third thought. You could also level up, go for the "explorer or scout or smt." perk and maybe, just maybe the special location will pop up on the map(just my geuss).

 

I decided to start new, mostly because I will get the car earlier.

Is it normal that Arroyo and Klamath do not like me after some time anymore? I was on idolized in both towns. Later I was only accepted.

I was surprised I could marry Miria and her brother and still sleep with both Bishops women. Must be the Cult of Personality Perk. (I know there was a fix for CoP)

If I understand it correct, the NPC's have 6 Levels. If I get come NPC's later with level 20 for example to follow me, how long do they need to get to their highest level?

There is a farm near Den, I offered my help, few men appeared and we shot them down, but the farmers need to go to Klamath for a new life. Is it possible to prevent this?

 

How can I speak with Skynet? On Level 3 is a big computer and a terminal. But I get always the message the AI is offline.

Once I spoke to him and it told me to find a brain. I do not know how I made it possible to speak with Skynet, can't do it again.

 

Your reputation may go down in Arroyo if you do not solve the first quest to save the harvest. Not sure why your Klamath reputation might go down... Not unless you tell me some of the things you did or places you went. I'm not saying it should have gone down, I'm just suggesting there might be some bad code somewhere.

is there really no smoking animation for this mod?

 

Same as before, no difference if your 20 or 1. Not sure though if they have EXP or level every 2-3 of your levels.

Either you've done something wrong (wrong choice or failed something) or a just a bug. Try to load a earlier save and try to replicate it to see.

EDIT: Then again when i think about the original, SkyNet disconnects itself to be able to be uploaded into the robot, if I'm not mistaken that is.

 

Is combat harder than Restoration or is the game bugged out for me?

I am trying a brute with maxed out STR and AGI but doing 0 or 4 damage. Ants in trial took a long time to kill so I tried to avoid as many. Plants in Arroyo as well only took 0-3 damage, Kaga was hard so I ran. Geckos are kicking my ass as well. So I am wondering if I am supposed to be doing little damage unarmed and need to plan out better or is the game simply bugged out for me.

 

Are you using the trait Finesse? I had the same problem, but i just critted on the head and made every enemy unconscious. Even with power fist i did low damage, but when i didn't choose finesse i actually did decent damage unarmed.
