V:TM - Bloodlines

Re-install it? Why would I want to re-install the game when I always have it perma-installed? Why would you ever UNINSTALL it?

I actually just started a playthrough with Malkavian for the first time. I feel like this is going to be a fun one, I love the Malkavian dialogue.

My first playthrough was actually with a Toreador, I didn't know about all the endings so I ended up getting the Anarch one.

Malkavian is awesome. Probably the best clan in this game even though my favorite clan in the PnP game is Nosferatu.

Try to get the independent ending. Pretty satisfying.

But isn't the independent ending

basically the same thing as the Anarch ending, except instead of just stabbing Lacroix and that Chinese vampire bitch, you also open of the sarcophagus on your own and get blown up by Jack's bomb? Only difference I can see is that in the Anarch ending your fate is ambiguous while in the Independent ending you die, same as if you'd side with LaCroix.

I've played the pen and paper game with my fiance and a couple of her friends before. It was a good time. I still really hope, that with this renewal of the Vampire license, we'll finally see a new game. I mean, half or more of Obsidian's crew is made up of people from Troika and White Wolf after all, including the head designer for Vampire.

You only die if you open the sarcophagus. In both the anarch and independent endings you get a choice. Just don't open it. :P

Now all they need is to contract in Brian Mitsoda who was the head writer and we're all good. :)

Ah, I don't remember having a choice in the matter. Thanks for clearing that up.

Honestly I feel like JE Sawyer would do good enough making a VTM game. I wonder if that's what he's been working on all this time? We know he isn't involved with Tyranny at all, he's involved with "Project Louisiana", whatever that's supposed to be. I really hope and pray it's a Vampire game, we've waited so long and Obsidian is the perfect company to make it.

Is Tyranny the project they were working on as an Xbox exclusive before Microsoft canceled it? That was North Carolina right? Not sure what Sawyer is working on but he'd be a fine fit for Vampire too I guess. Boyarsky needs to be one of the heads of that team though.

Basically yes. Sort of. They were making a game similar to Tyranny a long time ago on Xbox, and now they've pinched some ideas from it, Pillars of Eternity, and New Vegas to make Tyranny. Thus why I'm very excited for it. Both Project North Carolina and Tyranny revolved around you getting to play as the bad guy.

I wish they'd tell us what Project Louisiana is already, it's killing me.

ironically closest game (in spirit) to Bloodlines i ever encountered is mmorpg "The Secret World" - there are vampires but you play as human in modern world who gained special powers and because of that was exposed to secret societies that run the show behind the scenes, mainstoryline is awesome (i was really surprised by it in mmorpg) - as i said closest thing to Bloodlines i ever seen

I was interested in the setting of that game but it was an MMO so I never played it.

Just a shame that the game got so rushed and that I couldn't join the Sabbat or be of the Tzimisce bloodline
