Van Buren in IGN's top cancelled games

Aside from not seeing the Van Buren as becoming into Fallout 3, It also saddens me that they canceled Fallout Tactics II. : (

And BTW, tech demos are mainly to show how the engine and mechanics look like. So don't consider tech demos as a final versions, 'coz they are just a starters, small pieces of the design, a small chat with your friends before the actual party, a nice dinner with a nice woman before the sexual intercours...I think you've the idea :)

At least BOS was much better, more facist faction than those dicks in FO3.

I would gladly play it, just for the tactical, chess-like gameplay!
 
That list needs more Thrill Kill. And I'd probably put Torn or Troika's PA RPG over Van Buren on my list of games that should have been released.
 
can someone explain why there's a picture of Dead Space for Ultima Worlds Online: Origin in the list btw?

Yes, but I doubt FOBOS2: Vagrant Lands will appear on anyone's top 10 canceled games list.

As I recall Baldurs Gate 3, Arcanum 2 and unnamed post-apocalyptic project from Troika were also canceled and in my opinion deserve to cry over more then some Warcraft adventure.
 
It's never enough to remember everyone why Van Buren was cancelled. SO THAT FOPOS COULD GET OUT THE DOOR!!!

Arcanum 2...uhh...can you imagine what it would be like? How they would make it?

Well, I wouldn't cry over BGIII because the storyline of BG was pretty much exhausted by the end of BGII so they would've been better off making a similar game but with a new protagonist, new D&D rules and new setting. I haven't played Arcanum so I don't know, but the Troika PA game is definitely tear-worthy, because their TOEE is one of the best cRPGs... no, THE best cRPG I've ever played.
 
Also, J.E. Sawyer is making BG3 as a NWN2 TC to be released in 2024.
