Ok, advice on playing the Rovers-

Play them as if they were tough adversaries, not pop up and shoot'em raiders.

These folks are more hardcore grunts and less untrained raiders. Some of them might be ex-BIS types (which would make the story more interesting). Some might be former Hub cops.

They might serve a dark purpose, but they are not untrained or skilled.

Remember- difficult and good badguys make for better adversaries. That said, I would doubt the Rovers number more than 50-75. A sizeable force none-the-less.

Sounds very interesting :) Well guys, you heard the man! Be cautious on the roleplaying of Rovers, make them worthy oponents

When he was done he loaded his .45, and took out the desert eagle he had in his backpack. It was dirty, but notably was chambered in .50cal this would make it harder to find ammo for and more difficult to deal with the recoil. Luckily he had a full clip with 20 extra rounds in the pack.

i might be mistaken, but it looks to me like you just magically pulled a Desert Eagle .50 AE out of your ass Pyro. :p

as far as i can remember it was not in your inventory (the .45 was) and you didnt loot it either.

so whats up?

also:

as an addition to what Welsh said: it might be best that our raider enemies dont have heavy weapons. we arent even past shady sands yet, and most of us already have rifles and shotguns...
i suggest that the raiders have no more than pistols, shotguns, hunting rifles and a couple of submachineguns. (that should be MORE than dangerous enough for low level characters)

I agree with SuAside, dont have anything heavy.

Though maybe a fixed mount minigun (as a defensive weapon for the outpost up in a tower) but either have it be let behind for the Vipers, or get destroyed.

euhm

a fixed M249 or fixed M60 would be more than powerful enough for now tbh...

or maybe a fixed flamethrower to spice up things. (no not a lame ass FO flamethrower with 3 meter range. a real one...)

Better yet, something custom.

Maybe they make a handcranged gatling gun that fires shotgun shells.

Have it be hopper fed, have a vertical stack of SG shells, and they turn a handxcrank to shoot it. Have the barrels be made from either pipes that were the right size, or old shotgun barrels, or both better yet.

Suaside.....Psycho I hate ter burst yer bubbles, but remember in chapter two when Zeke killed a few raiders then later on the raiders wife held up Ved with a pistol. I forgot how we killed her, but look it up and you will see that I took her Deagle from her and it has been in my pack.

Yes Zeke did get that desert eagle when Ved blasted four holes through that bitch's chest.

On a side note, I feel like someone has smashed my entire head through a television screen. It isn't very fun and needless to say my writing might not be the best until it passed, but who knows maybe it will be better.(?)

just asking dude

no need to get all riled up

just thought it was strange that i'd forget a .50 cal DE in the game since thats really not a common version of the weapon.

I aint not riled up. I just sound angry in text.

Suaside you are right it was a .44 when I wrote it I checked. But may
I ask to edit it to a .50. I could use that firepower. Either that or I was thinking of nabbing a thompson SMG from a raider guard or something. If I get the .50 I will leave it at that though.

don't matter much. Sorry folks but at it's still a powerful handgun. Let it go at that and press on. This is all first draft and slip ups happen and can be ignored. This is such a slip-up. On wards!

we seem to have derailed quite a bit, but just keep it going i guess...

i'm not quite sure what the situation is though

Okay, isn't the outpost of the Rovers situated in Vault 15? I mean, isn't that shack like where a couple sentries would be guarding and we are trying to hit it.

From what I gather in Rama's plan, he strikes at the door and the snipers (Zoe, me and Albatrose) would act as support.

That is correct. But watch out, some raiders have come from the side of the outpost! :D
