A eerie turquoise light spotted over Norway has sparked a mystery, with suggestions it could be a missile test.

The Norwegian Metrological Institute has received hundreds of phonecalls from confused observers but so far has been unable to identify its origin.

Some experts have speculated that the phenomenon might have been caused by a Russian rocket launch. However, the Russian embassy insists such claims are completely unfounded. Neither meteorologists, astronomers, or the Armed Forces have offered a solution to the matter.

Wow, that's insane. Lets hope it is a fake, and not some kind of wormhole opening for the Alien invasion fleet.

Is that seriously real? Perhaps it is a result of that particle accelerator...

Where's the Doctor?

Doctor WHO? Doctor Freeman?

Seriously that effect is bizarre and I'm glad it's been documented by so many people and with pictures and video since that makes it hard to explain as just a hoax.

Give it a week and someone will either confess something or give a valid conclusion.

Sincerely,

I find the russian rocket explanation explanation satisfactory. I can easily imagine it.

Oh come on, it would finally be something different for a change.

And if the Doctor (from Doctor Who fame) does appear on the scene, I want to be a part of it.

So, when are the Ori showing up?

Unfortunately, the government won't handle the problem the same way they did in StarGate.

I'm thinking hoax. After searching around, I can't find a single credible mainstream news outlet who picked up this story. It looks like it's only being covered on shitty little e-news websites.

Hoax. There's obviously some kind of light projector on the far side of the hill in the lower right corner.

Although, it does sort of resemble the Virgin Mary I saw in my breakfast cereal this morning.

This image makes it clear how the phenomenon is actually God's boob. It's either that, or some aliens are trying to hypnotize us:

It is a rocket. That much has been confirmed by the norwegian military. There was a warning on the russian military systems 15 minnutes before it appeared.

So not a hoax. Just a botched russian missile test launch.

This doesn't act, look, or can plausibly be a rocket... but whatever.

Source?

It's not a hoax, it was all over the Norwegian news news yesterday, and the experts said it was most likely a rocket. And if the same thing happened in Russia, it should be pretty obvious
