InXile has revealed the first DLC for Wasteland 3, titled Steeltown, to release on June 3. They also tease patch 1.4 which will bring new features to the game. As can be read below the DLC is apparently level and gear scaled in an attempt to cater to the more casual players.

  • Traverse the Steeltown manufacturing complex alone or in co-op in this epic narrative expansion. Take on challenging new quests, face off against new robotic enemies, and solve the mystery at the heart of Steeltown however you see fit.
  • Tactical combat is taken to new heights with new mechanics like devastating telegraphed attacks, stacking status effects, elemental shields, and non-lethal weapons—letting you solve Steeltown’s skirmishes in brand new ways.
  • Combat and gear scaling means that both new and returning players can enter Steeltown during their playthroughs for a level-appropriate challenge, with a story and cast of characters that adapt to the decisions you’ve already made.
  • The Battle of Steeltown expands the base game with new enemies, weapons, armor, and world map encounters.
  • Music Supervisor Mary Ramos and Composer Mark Morgan return with original scores and new post-apocalyptic inspired covers.

I haven't played WL3 yet. It's best to wait for the complete game with all the DLC:s and fully patched I believe. So it's difficult for me to judge the content. What do you think?

The name Steeltown reminds me of the new Mad Max where they had Bullettown and Gastown. Steeltown is in the same league kind of.

Mark Morgan is sweet indeed.

I didn't expect DLC for Wasteland 3 but I really am enjoying this game. It's not nearly as cringey as the trailers would have you believe. Yeah, it's still wacky and goofy a lot of the time and the character models look a bit underpar but it's a solid game so far. I'm almost done, I think. So I guess I'll eventually replay it with the DLC and next time I'll side with the Patriarch.

The only red flag for me here is that the content is level scaled. Never really care to hear that. Doesn't mean it comes out badly because level scaling can work, but when a computer has to determine it? Ech. Reminds me of Oblivion. Don't make shit level scale that doesn't make sense. Bandits don't wear high tier armor. No DM/GM would do that and expect people to not question it either.

Not expecting much from him sadly. His W2 soundtrack was rather generic. Where's Tim Cain to "guide" him?
I'd have to go back through and listen to the full soundtrack. I forgot he did anything for Wasteland 2 lol.
