Just managed to watch this.
Some thoughts:
-What the hell happened to Dr. Manhattan? I never, ever, got the impression that he was semi-retarded after the accident. Moore presented him as a little bit aloof, but Snyder cranked it up to 10.
-Acting was generally terrible across the board, but Rorschach was pretty well done.
-Fighting was lame... I thought that they should have went for a more visceral approach... like Marv in Sin City. Brutal vigilante combat, opposed to stylized Matrix moves.
-Music was brutal
-Comedian shot JFK? Really?
-Ending was stupid. Changing the squid to making it look like Manhatten went loco was lame, and didn't fit the characters, IMO.
-Veidt was well done, but we should have seen his cat more. Also, I liked it when he caved in the dome on the scientists more.
