Weird things you do in your games...

People should try jsawyer mod, I'm replaying FNV after a long time and the mod change the way you play the game heavy.

Also the mod cured me of the "loot everything that isn't bolted on the floor".
I mean, I have 800 20ga shells stored at home, do I really need those lefted by the fiends, for example? Or even their weapons?

So when I kill something/someone I check the body to see if it has something usefull, like psycho/turbo/med-x, stims or caps or if is a animal their meat, eggs or whatever (I've always prefered food for healing than stims).
The rest of equipment most of the time I don't even bother picking, only if I need a little money at the time.

One thing I really liked - A LOT in fact - is...
Sure, you can achieve level 35 and have almost all your skills pratically at 100% and tons of perks.
But man, you really have to work for this, is not something granted.

He cutted all XP grinders in the game, wich means you basically have to do at least 2 DLCs and almost every quest available in the game, even those unmarked ones for achieving this.
That's the way you advance level now, by doing quests, no killing something.

Also he touched every gun in the game INDIVIDUALLY, as also the armors.
Even the varmint rifle is useful at level 20 now.

My question about his mod was how it affected the Logan's Loophole Trait. Does it still limit your max level to 30, or was that lowered to 20 to more appropriately reflect the reference of the trait as well as match the reduced cap of 35 that his mod sets for your character? If it didn't lower the level even further, I'd feel like it would be a broken Trait to take since the downside would only be missing out of 5 levels...

But I'm SURE glad to here that it's as comprehensive as promised, even more so than its expansive patch notes indicated. =D

It limits it to Level 21, same age as the Book.

21? Wasn't it 16 or 18 originally? Well, regardless, nice to hear! =D

Being accurate to source material is sweet. Being balanced is sweet. Being balanced and accurate to source material TOGETHER is just plain awesome! ^^

Could never sit still and play the game as it was meant to be played. Always broke out the console and tweaked the heck out of it. Spawned as a descendant of a U.S. Army soldier that fancied himself the "official representative of the U.S. Army," complete with a sentry bot he kept running as his companion. Spawned as the lone survivor of the crashed Vertibird, with the objective to get back to the refueling station, gear up, and wage guerrilla war against the NCR. Spawned as myself next to the crashed airliner in the southern desert, using mods to replicate my clothes, and with a terribly pessimistic SPECIAL rating. Limited myself to 30 pounds carrying weight, too. Stuff like that. I only really finished the game once, when I was playing as a kind of Mr. House clone. Otherwise I always got up to New Vegas itself and just got bored.

I like the way you think. I do that too, play it once to see what the hell is going on, then modify the crap out of it to what else it can do. Play any character you want, make any story you want.

Let's see, oddest thing I do in the game?, ... how about using signature armor and fully modded weapon? no? how about not buying or using energy weapons because they work as well as a kid toy? (break as easily too), no? okay then, does collecting recipes and their ingredients count?

Well now that you brought the topic up again, here's an update for you:

- Found a nation. Rebuild Springvale. Raise an army. Secure DC.

- Play as the Enclave. Begin as a Lieutenant with an assigned bunk in Raven Rock, leading a bum squad on busywork missions. Get bored when you realize the Enclave is unstoppable and even the weakest troopers can obliterate all opposition.

- Play as an abandoned raider kid who gets accepted into Little Lamplight. Scav out in the wastes using the hardest realism mods available. Get mauled by Super Mutants and fight for every last blasted cap.

Not sure if it counts as weird, but I do not loot corpses for their armor, at least not unless I need the armor to repair my own.

Also, I try to only fast travel to "safe" areas (Camps, towns that are not vilified/hostile).

Warhawk : A F:NV game mod where you can establish your very own settlement can be found here: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/36922/? ... and for Fo3 there is a whole series (search RTS Real Time Settler) primary mod here: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/7070/

Man, what the heck do you think I was using? Lol. Well, that and a bunch of personal tweaks. RTS isn't flawless. In fact the entire "city guard" system was so jacked up I created scripted NPCs from scratch to fill the blank.

Sorry 'bout that, I didn't know, ... see? crazy hamster is, well, ... crazy. It is an awesome mod though, along with a better version of the tired old Player Home mods, there is this one: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/49638/? there are several well thought out quests to get the vertibird and communications working, it is still a WIP, but for a beta it is quite useful.
when the giant soldier ants appear, don't bother fighting them, they just re-spawn, get into the vertibird and escape

More odd stuff? Corgis? I have two of them following me, Misha and Winsten, not lore friendly, but definitely, ... different: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/41651/? and http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/41714/?

wackiness aside, they are fierce little fighters and they distract enemies long enough to get a quick head shot, ...

With their cuteness and fluffiness I presume. Also your custom title can be applied to every(most)PC game as a short ''stimulant''.

Emperor : well they come in the Pembroke (no tail) and the Cardigan (tail), the script for them is always about food, which is very much like the Corgi personality, the model version the author used has the legs a little longer than a real Corgi, that was so the animation would let them jump over obstacles, otherwise they would get stuck on every thing in the game, stairs, curbs, rocks, etc.

Cuteness and fluffiness, LOL They attack like any other dog in the game, just that the enemy has to bend down to fend them off, makes a perfect target for a head shot, and with two or more of the little land sharks biting ankles, knees, and crotch, well? :surprised: :aiee:

As for the custom title, why yes, I do mod all the games I own, that is, if they can be modded.

Sometimes I rob a casino naked while only wearing a advanced power armor helmet and then I try to shoot down a securitron with only a BB gun.

It isn't that hard, actually. With the correct build and perks, they're easy even with a BB Gun and one helmet at lv. 30 so long as you can avoid the missiles well and get a stealth crit.

That sounds like an embarrassing dream, but it certainly is a good choice for Weird Things, probably the best?

Kalasanty11: You may have already seen these EnhancedGamePlay by Iztari and Tuckered Out - Falling and Fatigue Realism by Greslin, they don't improve the AI scripting, but do change game play a bit. AI scripting is hit or miss on some mods, have you tried this one? Arwen_NV_Realism_Tweaks

Thanks for recommendation, but these mods seem to be changing a little to much for me, not just AI. Besides, I already have jsawyer patch and Project Nevada installed, I'm not sure if there wouldn't be any problems with performance.
