What are some of your unpopular opinions?

didn't know mr new vegas talk about anything unrelated to the player, i swear his ai wants to annoys me with the same line and music over and over again
You’ve never heard “And you thought your boss was a pain” about Lanius? I feel like I hear that one more than anything else. Or “Do not, I repeat, do not belittle a super mutant for going down the bunny hill”?

The moment you come out of the Vault he talks about the Power Gangers running amok, the Monster of the East coming West, the attack on Nipton, the taking of Primm, etc. As the game goes on and the Battle of Hoover Dam is shaping up, he talks about the goings on of the wastes, including redirecting of forces. Not to mention when he does talk about the player's actions, it's always on the ground reporting with interviews of actual characters you interacted with, unlike Three Dog who just assumes everything from unspecified insiders.

I feel like it would have made more sense if the radio in New Vegas played music from the 2070s rather than something straight out of the 1950s to represent the old world with some oldies but also other types with electronics to better fit the retrofuturism of Fallout. When I think about what type of music people would listen to during the 2070s, I would think of something similar to a soundtrack called "My Chrysalis Highwayman" from Fallout 2. To me, that represents the retrofuturism and old world of Fallout better than some random oldies, which Bethesda loves to abuse like the Fallout show.
I agree that making entirely new genres of music and new albums solely for the radio would be creative and interesting. I'd be interested in seeing fans tackle something like that. A 2077 album. For what it is though, I think oldies works fine too. It can definitely be overused, the TV show is a prime example of going way too far, not to mention the song choices Bethesda makes are really dumb, but when it works (New Vegas), it works.

Here's an example someone on this site shared with me once of post-war music that might be made too:

all i hear is, "welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, this is mr new vegas, thank you for listing", and "Tensions are brewing in Freeside between the ruling gang known as the Kings and the large number of NCR squatters seeking refuge there."
