What do you do for a living?

Im a student working on a criminal justice degree...

Same here. It's boring the piss out of me at the moment though.

I'm also a security guard part time. Boring, easy, pays good. Plus I can do my uni work and get paid for it.

I'm am in my second year grad student, earning a PhD in Integrative Biosciences, which is basically a fancy name for Biology. I currently TA a class in cell biology, and have a fellowship to pay my living expenses. I take my candidacy this November, followed by three years of thesis work and hopefully graduation.

Then its Dr. Murdoch to you!

Prior to that I was an undergrad in biotechnology. Then a job as a research technician for a year, until I decided that work sucks and went back to school.

I'm at school, becoming a carpenter, someday I'll start my own carpentry company, earn lots of money...heehee...

I'm still in high school (as you can tell) junior year. I work at a local grocery store. Pays nothing, though ($6.15/hr).

Ideally I'll be in graphics core design, if I can figure out just waht kinda degree I'll need, and if my 3.6 GPA will suffice... If that fails, I'll go into teaching history.

Anyone here in computers have any idea what kinda degree I need for GPU/VPU design? electric engineering, perhaps?

I believe you could use an electric engineering degree for that, if you follow the right courses. I used to study that for a couple of years, and I wouldn't recommend it, unless you're absolutely sure you will find it interesting.

How I loathed it...

Or mow the lawn in somebody's house.
Which rooms?

I'm a Water/Environmental Civil Engineering student with a side study of how engineering affects society and working on a minor in Anthropology as well. The state of Wisconsin pays for half of my education/living expenses and the other half comes from Canadian grants, bursaries and loans.

Previous jobs: Cinema jack-of-all-trades, film loader for professional photographers at bicyle races, delivery guy for a photography developer, DNR surveyor and camp counselor.

in fact, I allready posted a pic (looong time ago) in the order where I showed my foot I cut with an angle grinder :ugly:

btw, I'm really doing very good at school(I'm good at practical things, not theoretical things, witch you can see by viewing my writing), so getting people to hire me is not hard either :D

Poor Ozrat, a Civil Engineer, 'eh? Remember the old joke?

Three engineering students were gathered together discussing the possible designers of the human body.

One said, "It was a mechanical engineer. Just look at all the joints."

Another said, "No, it was an electrical engineer. The nervous system has many thousands of electrical connections."

The last said, "Actually it was a civil engineer. Who else would run a toxic waste pipeline through a recreational area?"

I work in the Electronics section of a place called Best Buy in Dominica. No it is not related to BEst Buy USA. We sell all sorts of stuff, and I do work on cellular phones and sell electronic dodads to the ignorant savages of the isle.

I work as a Veterinary Assistant in the Emergency Department at one of the busiest and most well-know clinics in Arizona. I am also going to school to get an Associates Degree in Applied Science, and that will lead me right into the certification exams to become a Certified Veterinary Technician.

I stumbled upon this pic in staff list, is it just me or does she look more like a man then jeebs does?

Phil: if you were to read the bio with that picture you'd see it could impossibly be her.

the "she" in his sentence does not necessarily mean watergirl herself Jeebz

it could just as well be "she" as in "the girl on the picture"

edit: some stupid typos

edit2: omfg i suck, more typos!

Hmm, why not.

Had a few jobs over the years. Ususal crap when you're a teen, flipping burgers.

Always got stuck in sales jobs. Hard to get a way from when you're a good looking schmoozing charmer like me.

Managed a RadioShack for years, got sick of it and quit. Found myself doing sales for the buisiness division of Microsoft for a while and now I do tech support for a large US DSL provider.

Best ever was when I made a living as a professional singer/songwriter/musician back in the mid '90's. For about 2 years I made my money busking during the day and playing pubs and coffee shops at night. Stopped when I went back to college then I stoppped college and that's when all the sales jobs started.

Ya know, I made more money in music than I do now. WTF?

That doctor is one of the nicest people I know, and her girlfriend is too. They are sweet, funny, helpful (one of them offered to pay for an $80 test for my kitten that I couldn't afford at the time), and just all around great people. Although yes, she is kind of masculine in the picture.

I currently working for an international biotech/medical equipment firm.

Our current focus is HLA testing.

Exciting, huh?

Thinking about getting a psychology and business degree, or mabye a MBA.

I worked as a Immigration consultant, translator, tutor, teacher, art consultant, art gallery promoter, art dealer, antique dealer, import/export, interior designer, construction worker, business consultant, School promoter, graphic designer, decorator, and etc.
