What do you do for a living?

I grow crystals. And the first fuckhead who say "Crystal Meth?" is gonna get kicked in the face.

The crystals I grow are for different purposes. One is a scintillator for PET (Positron Emission Tomography) machines and one is used in the detection of certain wavelengths of UV light.

Both are grown using the Czochralski crystal growth method.

Presently I am 8 classes away fro a degree in Chemisrty from the University of Central Florida. Which is a school that I loathe, but that is another story for another time.

We beat the living shit out of your pathetic excuse for a football team Johnny, why do you attend such a pathetic instutution?

Anyways, do you grow Xray crystallography crystals too? I've got some proteins I'm dying to get visualized. 8)

I attend that POS university because it is close to my house. ;)

We are growing some, but not really in a production capacity; more along the research lines. I love this job but I hate my school.

Graduated from highschool here in Anchorage last spring, need to get a job to start saving money for school next fall....

Otherwise I usually list my occupation as "weapons design" since that's what occupies me when I'm bored . Oh, and I'm Imperator of Alaska on the side. No one seems to notice though. Especially the guys in flightsuits like Elissar flying all over the place... :( - Colt

I just began studying History and Archeology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), and apart from a sum of cash I get as a scholarship each year I have no real income, so until I get a job I'm just taking advantage of my parent's income...

I'm a graduate mechanical engineer. When I'm working I draft stuff in 3d, design manufacturing doohickeys, and do all that other shit that engineers do.

Right now I'm unemployed so I sit around the house in my underwear, smoking good cigars, drinking beer, and playing Fallout. Life is good, real good...

current paycheck from teaching guitar, but occassionly gigs from festivals or pubs playing hardcore jazz. nothing like that feeling.

Im waiting til late january to ship off to US Army basic training, til then Im just leaching off of my dad (proably will get a parttime job in a week or so)

Oh right right. :P

I meant in how they have their people trained, I guess they are only trained to do one job? Like say drive a tank or something, but they can't fix it or fire the guns or whatnot. Our guys (and girls, a good friend of mine in nursing drives tanks) can do all the things on it, but maybe that's because we have so few people, compared to the massiveness of the US forces :)
