I go to the University of Alaska Anchorage, where I study biology. Being poor is the only thing I know. Working at the Depot helps out a bit.....but the mindless drain of my energy seems like it isn't worth it. Someday...I will be a fish and game officer.....hopefully!

IT manager for a stock brokerage firm.

You haven't had fun until you've had a bunch of equity traders who can't trade beating down your door.

Fun stuff.

I'm a buyer for a Major Hotel chain.

That's right, i am paid to spend money, taste wines and spirits, get free food....

but i'm also "tech support", sommelier, etc.. for the property i'm at.

I just graduated from high school today, and will get my higher school certificate and stuff tonight. I hope to get into science or medicine at uni next year. Psychology and molecular biology look most interesting. Anyone have any advice about careers in science? Even though it's all subjective.

I don't have to work because I don't buy anything and my dad has great super. At one point, but not for long, they gave the academics the same super as the federal politicians, which is pretty good of course.

congratz!

i've got a friend that does molecular biology (or at least the belgian equivalent). she really loves it. of course it's quite a bore before you get to play around with it.

but as goes for all studies: you need to be really interested in the field if you want to study it...

get informed well before making a decision!
