What OLD games do you still play ?

I beat Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance today.

I'm still picking up the shattered pieces of my reality.

I sure wouldn't mind some help in understanding the end of the story..

Still, great plot, nice unpredictable twists, immersive cut scenes.. Wow I love this game. :D

I don't see why everyone is so fucking orgasmic over this game's story? Meh. If I was any good at stealth games maybe, just maybe I'd play it.

i actually thought most people hated the story because it was so convoluted and left field. it was kind of cheezy really.

I own the game, but haven't got around to playing it more than 5 minutes. Apparently, everything I've heard about the ending from people who've finished it seems to equate down to this

Ive got metal gear solid. Good game, but the envromentalist stuff regarding the nukes is WAY overdone and sorta messes it up for me..........

Haha yes, thats about right. Its still worth getting to the end though, just to say you have. If they had taken out the 6 hours of insane cutscenes for the amazingly stupid story and put in less of that gay ninja guy and more Snake, it would have been a great game. Making the Russian mercenaries dance while you have a gun pointed at their crotch is pretty fun though. Anyways, I'm going to go play some splinter cell instead.

Yeah, I played Splinter Cell long before I ever played MGS2 and when I finally did play it, I thought stuff like medkits that float in the middle of the air was kina corny/arcadey.

I still prefer OFP, since getting shot 1-2 times usualy kills you it forces you to sneak more.

EDIT

I mean on covert ops themed missions, of course, with regards to the sneaking.

EDIT again. Addons for OFP rock.

Jagged Alliance 2 anyone?
(wilfire came out recently.... can't figure out what I have to do to finally beat it, I've killed everything in sight)

Shogo- love that game, just good, simple fun.

Mech Comander and MC2- I like the first better though I still have not beat it, just so damned long.

I would love to play FO2 but i need the patch... and before anyone directs me to fileplanet, I woul like to tell you that I would sooner amputate my left nut with a fork before I EVER go back there.
Same goes for the first FO.

Star Wars Rebellion- fun strategy game

Red Alert - need I say more...

I just beat MAFIA. I fucking LOVE that game. I know that it is not that old but still.... just so much character in my opinion.

Oh, allmost forgot.... the oldest game I played recently was Dragon Warior 2 on an NES simulator. I love that whole series. Brought back memories. Was anyone alive back then?.... I can't remember...

thx....

Last I looked for that patch must have been something like two yars ago.... back then somehow all of the links anywhere, including this site if I remember corectly, seemed to take me to fileplanet.

no matter..... I am probably going to put off playing FO still longer anyway because I have no time now.
Besides, I think he next game I will get addicted to will be Deus Ex.
I never played it, and by all accounts I missed out. I know 2 is out now as well.

Fallout 2
Diablo 2 Lod SC Ladder
OFP + All Addons
Shogun - Warlord Edition
Master of Orion 2

I had an intense Diablo 2 period a couple of months ago. I just couldn't stop, need... more... levels... need... better... equipment...

It wasn't even fun anymore, but my item-hoarding passion drove me. I ended up having some of the best equipment in the game, and then at some point Blizzard reset the ladder or something, and everyone had to start from scratch. I then stopped playing out of frustration.. :)

Ratty had trouble with Rebellion? Maybe its just my feminine multitasking skills or something, but I never had any trouble with the interface. However the combat SUCKED. I was hoping for something like Homeworld, beautiful and tactical. Instead I got blockoland goes to war.

In situations where a normal game has one window, Rebellion has three. I'd refuse to play something like that even if each of these windows contained nude photos of Brooke Burke.

OT: That darn Pirates! banner keeps reminding me of the disused copy of Pirates! burning a whole in my hard drive and screaming for me to install it. Why must exams exist?

I had Darklands running perfectly on a Win98SE machine, but I recently had to pull the RAM for another computer.
