I would by a shop and build things to sell to the military to begin the initial investment which will eventually lead in my taking over the entire world.

Yeah, and the military is so desperate for contractors that they would rather buy equipment from your little shop than - oh, I don't know - General Dynamics and Boeing.

$50,000 goes to not working for a year,
$5,000 goes to building an AWESOMETM computer,
$3,000 goes to a used economical car,
$22,000 goes to investing in the stock market as I watch Mad Money every day for HAWT TIPSTM

Off topic i know, But does the title of this thread make you think of that song from Team America: World Police?

Freedom isn't free, there's a hefty fuckin' fee.

If you don't put in your buck-o-five, who will?

Freedom costs a buck-o-five.

Damn, I've got to go listen to that song now.

I'd Stash it in a bank or invest. I could get a loan for an apartment with the money, but then I wouldn't have a job paying enough to pay on the loan, so I'd really just have to save it for later when I can afford to spend it. Anything I'd buy would basicly cost more to own than I make. I'd get through my education with some of the money at least.

With about 100K I would either pay off the mortgage or sell, buy a house and get a bigger mortgage. Although the bottom has fallen out of the housing market in many parts of Sydney, this is not really the case where I would like to continue to live, in the Eastern Suburbs (Bondi/Bronte/Clovelly Beach and near the city).

I would take the money to Poland, and be able to live off it like a king for the rest of my life there.

Up tp the point when corrupted banks, thieves, and the 50% tax rate would steal your money.

Then I will guard my safe with a two-digit combination lock no Polack will ever be able to breach!

Wooz + Crowbar = Unlawful Entry

Seriously would just buy a small house with enough left to buy furnishings.

Pay off my student loans..

And then I'd book a one-way ticket to a country far away, and tell everyone I know to eat sh*t.

Damn Americans. Over here $80,000 can't buy you a miniature apartment.

You've gotta be joking. In Zagreb?
In Zagreb. Well, it depends on the area, but in most neighbourhoods that don't suck real estate prices are outrageous, often exceeding €2500 per m^2. On the other hand, in undeveloped war-ravaged places like my hometown $80,000 would buy you a house so huge it would take you two days to walk around it.
