What would you do?

be a mercenary/courier, that is at least the honest work you could get without being feeling boring and it pays well.

I'm kind of curious to explore post-Great War Indonesia, specifically Jakarta. But hey, this is Fallout, so if I somehow find myself in post-nuclear USA, probably gonna stay somewhere in San Francisco and help the Shi with their research or whatever.

That would be interesting. I don't think the Shi are open to outsiders...

I'm an Asian. Maybe I would find myself learning Chinese to ease my assimilation into them. I don't know, the Shi accepted the Chosen One after they managed to prove themselves to the Shi, so I probably have to do something to prove myself, too.

Probably gonna die in the process if I fuck up, but whatever.

Try and get my ass to the NCR and attempt to land some cushy bureaucratic job in Shady Sands. I'll get a nice bribe from a Brahmin baron and retire early in Redding.

Well if we're gonna do make believe then fuck it, I'd go eat The Master and absorb his powers and conquer Modoc as I find it to be cozy lil' town.

Well that's a bit more make believe then what most people said here...
If people can just up and join Shi and the Desert Ranger and change the political landscape of NCR then I don't see it as that surprising that I'd be able to get close enough to The Master to eat him. Besides, we have no idea if one could absorb Psyker powers from eating someone so, yknow, fuck it. Not too far fetched for me. And once I have the powers I could probably use the dumb dumbs to conquer Modoc, it's a farming town after all. Wouldn't be too hard to do either.

So nah I think it's totes feasible.

But Desert Rangers are not Brotherhood of Steel, they don't care about bloodline or something like that, you can become a Ranger once you sign up in the Ranger Center/Ranger Citadel, and passed your first assignment.
Although the assignment sometimes can be consider as a suicide mission like the one in Wasteland 2 about you need to find the killer of a veteran Ranger then face either a whole area full of killer planets and mutant animals or just a group of raiders, but at least they make sure you can have a 4 man team at the start.

Umm becoming a politician and changing the festering sore that is the NCR political system is a lot easier then fighting through super mutants, turrets and creepy floater/centaurs before beating the master and his psykers.
