What would you do?

Sure that's fine. Love your avatar.

All it needs is a bit more Hillary...

C'mon guys, don't derail the thread.

The Legion might. They don't like Tech but damn, they would LOVE an EXTERMINATUS.
Gonna roll in and mention House building ships that could perform an exterminatus. But even with him, exterminatus is extremely far fetched in the Fallout universe, due to the amount of technological advancement that would have to happen, and the needed money and manpower.
Usually cyclonic warheads are used and they take years to develop and make.

Here is an exterminatus where they use cyclonic warheads:

And may the Emperor bless us all.

But how?! They disliked techs from the very beginning. Okay, maybe if Caesar manage to make New Vegas his Pax Romana, he probably would stumble upon the Lucky 38's bunker and whatever tech that House stored in there, but still.....

Emperor Protects.

Legion doesn't dislike technology, they dislike the 'reliance' on technology. It makes people weak. Too dependent on it so that if it were ever to be taken away from them then they'd be completely crippled. Legion doesn't mind using technology, they just don't want to 'rely' solely on it.

Now to make this thread "on topic" again, and since my only post on it was a joke post I will write what I would try and achieve if I was in the Fallout setting.

I would probably try and find a liveable abandoned vault, I would spend most of my time trying to do any repairs to make the vault systems work again. Once I had at least the power running and the vault door in working condition I would try and repair some Mr Handys or any other robots I could find to give me a hand and also send them scavenging.
I would also try to reach any kind of wandering merchants/caravans and/or nearby settlements so they would stop by every couple of weeks or so for trading (I could sell vault stuff that I wouldn't need or just use the water purifier in the vault and sell purified water in large quantities or something).

Then later I could spend my retirement living in comfort watching old holotape movies, listening to my old holotape music, playing board games with my robots and whatever else I felt like, always safe in my own vault.

Just give my middle finger to the wasteland problems.

Try and become a scholar with the Followers of the Apocalypse. I like to think that if I survived in the post-apocalypse, and could read, I'd start doing what that guy in the Twilight Zone did. I don't wear glasses so hopefully I won't be fucked.

Start a settlement and hopefully grow it.

Thanks to Bethy here, we could, just slightly less realistic, but hey, since when were video games 100% realistic?

I'd like to think I would be like the Courier and I'd join the Legion. Most likely I would be a scavver (prospector if you wanna sound fancy) or just live in a settlement.
