What would you like to see in future DLC?

I'm not entirely sure that's fair. I'm probably more of a Fallout purist than most, but if you've got a game where gambling's been implemented, where Casino shenanigans are necessary to unlock certain benefits, I think it's okay to pine for a game which is A.) common in casinos, B.) was fairly common in some form around the time when the Fallout timeline diverged from ours, and C.) is enjoyed, at least in theory, by a vast percentage of the populace.

Wow, I haven't even noticed there wasn't poker in the game.
After initial failure with Caravan (because of that bug), I had lost my will to play any mini games, and haven't played them at all.
Though not having poker in the game is kinda strange. A whole DLC about poker is over the top, and I don't want to see something like that, but adding poker into the game shouldn't be a problem.
I don't know much about making mini games and adding them to the big game, but maybe a slightly bigger patch with poker? Or no, a small, free DLC? Maybe someone from the modding community could make it?
As I said, I'm not knowledgable on the subject.

I'd rather see them fix the bugs in Caravan to make it playable before they implement a new minigame like poker.

A poker story line would be pretty sweet... long as I could still play poker after I finished the add-on

I'd like to see Caravan get progressively more difficult as you win more matches. (or gain more levels)

I'd also like -something- that you can spend massive amounts of money on to justify hoarding everything you find like a pack rat. One suggestion I had in modding was to let you buy regular perks at $10,000, $20,000 etc. Just, basically anything I suppose for all those gold bars or casino winnings or whatevers.

how about buying houses for 10-20k

It was nice that you could modify the house at lucky 38.... but i could never bring my self to walk up to the house because it took too long from the fast travel point (unlike novac)

WPD

It'd also be nice to fast-travel to be certain regions (NCR Ambassador, the mission-giver at the dam, the Brotherhood Elder, Mr. House if you didn't betray him in the Legion mission) with enough rep in place.

Seriously though- all this walking around through the same areas gets -really- annoying, when it's all just to find a certain person. Maybe fast-travel shouldn't be for every quest-giver but it'd be nice to have it for the most annoying ones to have to track down.

I'd love to see reputations for Jacobstown and Primm- those places both treat you differently based on your actions and have unique endings so it seems out of place they don't count as factions like the Khans do.

I'd pay for a poker DLC. Straight up.

I was disappointed when poker wasn't at any of the casinos.

That's the first thing I went to play when I hit the Tops. I was like, "Great! Blackjack and poker!... and poker! ... and poker? Where are the poker tables?"

At least there's blackjack and hookers. Hell, screw the blackjack.

I would like to see a book quest and expanded territory.

Your quest is to collect books for a central library in New Vegas, to found a university of sorts or, if you are Legion, to destroy all books.

This would happen after the main quest has ended.

This idea is actually based on Chinese history, from the Qin Dynasty. The First Emperor wanted to impose order and ideology on all of China which he unified, and commanded that all books be burned and scholars buried alive.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burning_of_books_and_burying_of_scholars

In our story, you are to recover the books that were lost and rebuild that library. Perhaps because there is some secret knowledge to be gleaned, I don't know.

Its because of my own little ambitious project that I would really like to see a DLC that takes North East from New Vegas and includes the Nellis Air Force Range and settlements such as Indian Springs and Mercury.

As NMA's review noted it's just too easy to waltz into Nelson early and kick all the Legion's ass.

I'd love to see all the enemies be given serious power-ups or at least have some amount of scaling difficulty. (one idea- Legion armor could be a lot tougher, even their toughest armor is barely combat armor-grade)

One other odd gripe.... the Legate's armor should be a lot more badass stat-wise, tougher than the best combat armors. (I know, you barely have it in the game but it'd still be cool and make more sense)

It'd also be nice to see endings for Camp McCarran, Forlone Hope and Nelson and the area with the laser weapon you fire. (overboard? I know, but I'm still curious what happens to these areas post-game plus Camp Golf gets it's own endings)

I want a quest to pull an Ocean's Eleven and rob a casino. Not even that specific, just a set of quests to rob the Tops or Gomorrah or the Ultra Luxe. If that's too much of an issue, let us go to a new casino (Or at least a casino that's not in vegas and new to us in the new DLC area or whatever) and let us rob it.

Well, there's always New Reno in NCR.

I always wanted to rob Gomorrah- that one dude rips you off REALLY bad. ("thanks for all your help in etc., now here's 50 lousy fucking chips")

I don't see why there wouldn't be a quest to trace your origins to the "the tribal" who is so frequently mentioned by characters in New Vegas.

Well from the beginning I was looking forward to robing some of the casinos, and I was sort of disappointed when I found out that there was no Q and also that cashiers are more or less out of cash when you pickpocket them or when you lockpick those safes and other stuff (at least considering amount of people in the casino).

One thing for sure, just north of Vegas are all sorts of US military sites. A lot of that is target ranges but I think Area 51 is in the area too. One map I had has a stretch of land that crossed the highway marked as Danger Zone, in red.

So there are plenty of former military sites that can be exploited. Also close by are the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park.

Lots of cool places to explore.

I'd be willing to bet that the "Big Empty" is Area 51 or a similar military facility. The 'Northern Passage' location which is supposed to take you to the Old World Blues DLC does lead to the direction of Area 51. My only hope is that if they do set it at Area 51 there's no alien stuff, lest we get "Mothership Zeta Part II".
