What's Your Favorite Drink?

Nice list, especially when it comes to the Geuzes, but also quite expensive (20-50% more expensive).
The Geuzes are more expensive because they have more content per bottle (.375 instead of .3) and because they simply cost a lot for him as well. I know that he actually only makes a small profit on the Geuzes, less than on most other beers he sells.

You seem to know quite a lot about beer (more than me I dare to say after just reading 3 of your posts regarding the matter. Quite embarrassing for a Belgian :) ). I don't know whether anyone else on these forums is a beer fan, but for a possible future comparison, I'll quickly write down my top 10 all time favourite beers from all categories.

1) Rochefort 10
2) Chimay Triple
3) Boerinneken
4) Braven Apostel
5) Chimay bleu 9°
6) Delirium Tremens
7) Duvel (a classic)
8 ) St. Bernardus Abt 12
9) Gouden Carolus
10) La Chouffe
I've yet to try the Boerinneken and Braven, and I disliked the Gouden Carolus. Other than that, decent enough list, although Chouffe is a bit plain for my tastes. I would've placed the Barbar Honingbier and the Geuze on there, obviously. And the St. Bernardus should be higher up. Also, the Brugge Triple deserves a mention and the La Trappe Quadrupel as well.

Oh, I will definetely start drinking some more Geuze, uptil now my experience with them has been limited to the popular Belle Vue variants, but I've heard many good things of the boon Geuzes too, especially, like you confirmed, the Marriage Parfait.
Just beware that they're not for everyone. They're really, really sour and technically spoiled. I love them, but I know a lot of people who hate them.

If there weren't any real legal alcohol going around in Finland, the Finns would drink anything to get drunk, I'm afraid. Like good old Mennen aftershave and so on.
No, we aren't animals, we would burn their own, making our own moonshine, unlike a few African ape species that bite certain fruits to make them more ripe and with that more ethanol containing, and then they eat the fruits to the point that they might fall from the trees(the monkeys). :D

Or other things that don't pass for beer, such as the good ol' Aldi Cara Pils for 5€ per crate. It's so cheap that some bum in Ghent actually was showering himself with it by pouring the can over his face and then proceeding to throw the remainder on tourists whom he so clearly despised.

Sorry, I didn't make myself too clear there. I meant that the prices of all beers are generally higher than what you would have to pay here. Even your local brews, (La Trappe quadrupple -the beer that I'll certainly drink on my next trip to Holland, which will probably be in a couple of weeks during the easter vacation- costing 3,40€) seem to cost quite a lot.

Boerinneken and Braven can best be compared to the likes of a Duvel and a Delerium Tremens. I also prefer the Karmeliet triple over the Brugse.

As for the Barbar Honingbier... hard to describe, I found that it tasted too fresh, I can't really put it in different words. It tasted like the beer equivalent of a cleaning product to me. Nothing like I ever tasted before anyway.

Red Wolf Beer (If I can find it), Magic Hat #7 Not Quite Pale Ale from the Magic Hat brewing Comany in Vermont USA(If I can get my hands on a six pack), other fave treats - Champaigne and Oramge Juice (goes great with steak and eggs), Kir (Cassis de Bordeaux and dry white wine), Jim Beam straight up when drinking alone, Cool Aid and Everclear when partying with friends.

Well, it is a bar, so it's always going to cost more than in a supermarket or the likes, but beer-prices are generally higher in the Netherlands than in Belgium. Plus, he's on Stratumseind which is an expensive place to be, since it's the largest street with consecutive bars on it in the Netherlands. His prices are pretty normal for Eindhoven at least. In some cases even on the low side.

Well, I'll try them if I get my hands on them. The Karmeliet is most excellent as well.

I like:
Coffey, beer, other flavoured bubbly water, whiskey, regular water. In that order.

A normal week I tend to drink:
Coffey, beer, regular water. In that order.

Real men drink Diet Coke. Alcohol be damned; you're not tough if your bowels can't withstand a daily phosphoric acid shower.

You've been watching Green Mile too much.

Vodka + orange juice, Ouzo + Cherry juice, Captain Morgan rum, Greek white dry wine known as Retsina...and pretty much all kinds of beer.

Wine is for the less serious lady boy drinkers while Beer is a serious subject for real men, - I don't know who said that but it rings true.

When it came to mixed drinks I used to be all about cheap whiskey and coke but now I find myself is more of a Gin and Tonic kind of guy. Besides I like abreviating everything like "Barkeep! Gimme a G and T - easy on that T"

I thought this was an alcoholic discussion. But if we are just talking about what we drink when we are chillin on the computer or whatever.

Tea, all the way.

When sober and going for favourites I'd say coke or lemon water with ice.

Alcoholic,I'd go for Boddingtons,Kilkenny,Newcastle brown or Marston's pedigree bitter.(and others)

For just wanting to get drunk I'd go for ice water and vodka,no taste at all and gets the job done.

Well.., I have a drink named after my name.

But it depends on what the weather was and what I have to work with.

Go here for some mixes.

http://www.drinksmixer.com/

Bull Shot or Bloody Bull are great on a cold, damp day.

Amaretto Alexander/liqueur are great to drink with the ladies, but a pain to make.

Rusty Nail is good, provided you have really hard ice.

A lot of ladies seem to like Jack Rose. Of course, it also came from an old movie.

Black Velvet is just cool.

Aberdeen Augus was supposely invented by men to share around the camp fire after a deer/moose hunt.

As for coffee or tea.., well, it's hard to get good coffee here in Beijing. And the ironic thing is that good tea is very expensive here because everyone know how much they are worth. The best tea is usually auctioned off to the highest bidder.

That was kinda what i was going for if you read my orginal post about my drunken Reno escapade.

tea is all i drink when I BS on the computer.

Well, my non-alcoholic drinks of choice are Pepsi, Mountain Dew, water, coffee (black, of course) and orange juice.

I was trying to create the worst drink possible once by mixing whiskey and milk. Turned out to be pretty tasty. I found an old bottle of Kahlua when I moved out some boxes a few days ago and I think it just might be the missing ingredient..

Monsharen - try mixing rum and beer and drinking the elixir. Not just the taste, you WILL be feeling it the next day...

I would like to bring an old saying back to the surface:
"Beer before liqour, never been sicker. Liqour before beer, your'e in the clear."

Mixing it safe with ol' monsharens drinking wisdom
