I bring news to you unfortunate people of the world who are not currently in Sweden or the UK. A special ale, by the name Innis & Gunn Island Cask, that has been matured in casks from Islay previously used to mature whisky, was released in Sweden a couple of days back. This is more than just an ale; it's an elexir. Only 38.000 bottles have been tapped. I already adored the regular Innis & Gunn, but this Island Cask is one of the most well balanced, yet still controversial ales that I've ever tried. If you can, get it, and get it now.

Crown Royal, straight or in Coke. I'll take it mixed too, like in a Washington Apple, but shots or a Collins glass with Coke works best.

Black Russians, Mt.Dew & Whiskey, Rusty Nails, Guinesses.. or sometimes house beers depending how good they are.

Coca Cola, Pictish Heather Ale, Skullsplitter (10%), Rebel Red, Bellringer (12%), Jameson (which is made 5 mins from my house - Yeah!)

The One and Only.

Newcastle Brown Ale.

Ive been enjoying this beer for the past few days and im pretty surprised at how much I like it now.

My usual favorite is Rogue dead guy ale or if I am cheap I grab a random pint that is on sale :D

Mcsorley's on tap is a really good dark beer, its brewed in the basement of Mcsorley's the oldest Pub in NYC.

I like ketchup and sugar.

Oh, drink?

At home, I drink water, orange juice, sometimes beer, tea and coffee.
When I go a-drinking, it's beer, vodka, sometimes brandy or whiskey, rarely wine. I rarely drink Coke and that kind of stuff (too sweet), usually only to wash down vodka and other strong beverages.

Let's talk booze...

In my case, whisky. But I didn't think this would reach anywhere near critical mass as far as other whisky-drinkers goes so I thought a more general topic would reach more people. Pick whatever you like.

I've found out that my love for whisky has finally returned, after a dreadful 6 months. It was all because of a student party at Christmas, a friend came over from his usual foreign study place, brought a bottle of vodka and I opened some too many whisky bottles. After that night, I just didn't like whisky anymore.

But right now, I'm listening to some Paolo Conte, sipping some Monkey Shoulder to probably be followed by some nice Ardbeg 10 years old or my Lagavulin 16y. Music from a smoke-conditioned voice, whisky made with peat-smoke, 10 years+ of ripening close to the sea...

I’m generally not a boozy person. I don’t dislike beer, I like a well-matched wine to go with my meal, but I just don’t see where the craving for beer can come from. But whisky, hah, now there’s a drink. A finely tuned wonder, with an intricate interplay of tastes stemming from the various production processes, the water, the malt, the age, the surroundings, the peat if you like it. Especially the peat. Well, if you like it.

Yes, I quite like whisky.

Edit: Ah so here's my post. Bugger, I skimmed through the first pages in search of a similar topic, guess it was already there and I either missed it or was too happy with my glass. Sorry.

Tea, all different kinds. Love milk tea with the little tapioca(I think that's what they are) bits inside.
