What's Your Favorite Drink?

If you want good Port, look for Sandeman (my favorite) or Dow's. I particularly like Sandeman Founders Reserve (~$15 a bottle, 750 mL)

If i run into it maybe ill try it. Does it taste sweet or bitter?

So I was thinking today that you can tell a lot about a person by what he drinks. Actually, that's BS. I just wanna know what your favorite drinks are! Beer, mixed drink, straight shot, anything!

Whiskey :) (With no ice)

Water.

I can't seem to hold the other drinks (the nice, alcoholic ones) down anymore.

The Gentse Feesten (local festivity where everyone gets drunk for 10 consecutive days) were total agony for me. Thank God for pot.

I usually go with finnish beer or cheap tequila such as Scorpion. Vodka with cranberry juice from time to time and in special occasions absinthe.

My favourites kind of change depending on the mood. Though this hardly ever means it changes from the category whiskey, it just changes within that category.

Right now it's that bottle of 9 year old Bunnahabain I haven't opened in a while. Top class stuff when it comes to peat. Natural colour, non-chillfiltered, 46%. It's like drinking and smoking at the same time.

And oh, I can vouch for that Sandeman recommendation as well. I also really like the 10 year old Santelmo. With the younger stuff I far too often get the impression of simple grape juice, just fruity, while I'm in love with that deep taste of matured port.

BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER.

Heineken since that's the Dutch beer that's available EVERYWHERE, but I especially like Hertog Jan. If you EVER get the chance, taste it. It's like an angel is taking a leak on your tongue. :D

oh dear lord... Heineken? you call that beer? seriously, putting some bubbles into horse piss doesn't qualify it as beer, regardless of how it looks.

you're lucky you mentioned Hertog Jan, I suppose you might have what it takes to be redemed. if you hadn't i'd have written a longass rant...

you're lucky you mentioned one of the two dutch mainstream beers which are actually drinkable.

Seriously, I've only mentioned Heineken because right now I'm in Lithuania where I have to choose between beers called Svyturis, Svyturis Extra, Utenos, Kalnapulis and Heineken. Makes the choice quite easy. :)

In view of this "REDEMPTION" let me name some other beers that I like.

Palm, Leffe (BELGIUM beers RULE) and a shady beer brewed and drafted in a small monastery in, yes you've guessed, Belgium.

Thanks to a chronic digestive condition, I can't really hit the bottle too hard. When I do allow myself the liberty, I'll usually go for a nice, rich, dark like Guinness or a (so-called) Belgian Ale like Fat Tire. Murphy's (red) is a favorite, too. I always enjoy trying international stuff and microbrews when I get the chance, but that's not often.

When it comes to liquors and cocktails, I go for Seagrams, straight-up or mixed in a Seven & Seven. If I'm feeling girlier, or my system's telling me to take it easy, I'll opt for a Midori sour, a White Russian, or a Harvey Wallbanger.

Yummy.

Lately it's been been water and juice in the morning. V-8 Splash Mango Peach.

At night, it's been Budweiser (which I'm not to fond of in terms of taste actually but it's what I've got for a day ender) Or if I'm feeling frisky, some Lord Calvert from time to time which just sits in my freezer next a bottle of nearly empty Crown. My brother left alot of his stuff here.

If I could find my wallet it would certainly be Wild Turkey and I would get some Guinness as well.

New job starts soon so I can get back to my own brands soon enough. $$ cha-ching $$

Cuba Libre with Puerto Rican Rum -
Captain Morgan's
Bacardi
DonQ

Tanquey & Tonic is a great summertime drink too.

Tequila shots are enjoyed year-round though.
