Just ordered this stuff

MoBo= Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe nForce 570 Semperon Athalon 64(FX)(X2) Skt AM2 DDR2 ATX Motherboard

CPU= AMD Athalon 64X2 dual core processor +4200

Videocard= ASUS EN7600GS Silent/HTD GeForce 7600 PS PCI Express 512mb

RAM= (2) Corsair CM2X1024-6400PRO 1GB DDR2-800 XMS2-800 ProSeries Memory with Platinum Heat Spreaders

CPU Cooler= GigaByte 3D Rocket II cooler

PowerSupply= Corsair HX Series 640W

1.6+ Athlon XP, 512 Ram, ex-GF2MX, now GF6600GT, Slackware (e.g.: linux)

Don't need any better than this so far :)

mobo: Asus 8n-sli I think
proc: Athlon 64 x2 4200+
mem: 2x1gb Kingston
video: XFX Geforce 7900 GT Extreme
hdd: WD 500GB/WD 400GB/Maxtor 320GB all sata 7200rpm
monitor: Iiyama VM 19" crt

Gotta get a new monitor ;x

640mb 8800 GTS
1 gig RAM
500 gb Hard drive
Intel 6400 CPU
Antec Case with tons of flashy blue lights!
22" Samsung LCD.

Danke. I'm also running Viiista, which is quite nice, once you get used to it. Really, my only problems have been driver related, and they were quickly solved once I got online.

Also, I really, really, love the lights, but I'm wondering how well I'm going to sleep at night.

well here's my new rig - hoping to get decent Fallout 3 on this thing:

Core 2 Duo 6420
Gigabyte DS3P
nVidia 8800 GTS
2 Gigs of Ram
320gb sata drive
v. old 1st generation audigy :D
V. old IBM 260 22" CRT Monitor

keeping fingers crossed for that autumn 2008

also i'm getting nervous seeing ID's new Tech5 engine - hope it runs

i'm also keeping the hella way from vista for as long as possible .. .too expensive and too much shine to actually do something for the serious user :)

Wow, some nice rigs here!

Mine needs an update :(

Chieftec big case, 2* 120mm fans
DFI LanParty NF4 SLI-DR
A64 3000+ with Zalman (the all copper fin one, 120mm)
2*512MB OCZ VE (runs 2-2-2 at well over 400MHz)
XFX GF6800GT
Audigy 2
Antec TruPower PSU (got a superflower lying around)
WD Raptor 74GB
4* WD 250GB raid edition (were in raid, but I found the onboard raid crappy, looking for 2nd hand PCI pata/sata card as budget solution - JBOD now)

The other disks are in my file server, so we can watch & listen from everywhere over LAN :)
Games are hosted in ISO there too (legally bought, ofc - in closet though, I think optical media is obsolete).

AMD Athelon X2 5200+ at stock speed
x2 GeForce EVGA 7900GS in SLI
2G Corsair XMS2 675 (Stock speeds are 5-5-5-15 but it easily does 4-4-4-12@800MHz, I haven't even bothered pushing it higher than that)
SoundBlaster Audigy SE
SCEPTRE X20WG-Naga 20.1" LCD monitor
x3 Seagate Barracuda 320GB SATA drives
OCZ GameXTreme 700W PSU

I think I went a little overboard on this rig, I broke my $1000 price cap by a good $500.

Ah well, I won't have to get a new rig for a good 3 years now.

Vista Ultimate 64 edition
Pc Power Cooling 510W
Athlon 64X2 3800+
4Gigs of C.Skill PC26400
nVidia GeForce 7900GS (Gift, I hate the deceitful bastards @ nVidia)
Thermaltake Xaser III
Lots of red LED's
Eclipse Mark1 Keyboard (limited Red edition)
Logitech mx510 (red)
Dual 19" Samsung Sync Master 910T's
...And a purepwnage mouse pad

When I stop buying airsoft guns I'll upgrade to the power hog AMD chip and dual ATi DX10 something or others.

DUUUUUDE boer_kameel! How awesome is that Zalman fan?!!? I purchased that for my Prescott rig and according to the mobo temp it went from 140 to 90 F!!! I'd get one for my latest rig but, blue led's! Clearly I need red!

Edit: Waiiiiit, 10mmCurator and I have the same mobo, totally k00l!

I put it all together last week and it works so fine i can barely hear the six fans running. Woot... just one slight problem my ram heats up while playijng Star Wars KOTOR

Mobo = Some DFI Lanparty shite. It was the cheapest 939 i could find. Even the fucking drivers they supplied me with don't work. Lots of fun there.

CPU = AMD64 X2 4800

Graphics card = BFG 8800 GTS 320mb

Ram = Geil Value 2x1gb Dual Channel Kit

Power Supply = I believe its a Tagan 600w.

This pc seems to be fine with everything out right now. I'll be curious to see what settings i can run Crysis at.

What kind of cases is everyone using? I've got the Antec Nine Hundred, which is really phenomenal. It's got five fans, between 120 mm and 200 mm, I think, and because they're all big, they keep the rig pretty quiet, even when playing FEAR and other stuff. I think I've only heard the fans once or twice during startup, and only for a second then. Also, there's a drinkholder thing on top which is cool.

...A drink holder on top? Either you are joking or thats the worst case ever...
