Where is F4 in the fallout series timeline

7thDay

First time out of the vault
In regards to each game how far apart are they in years i know F4 is 200years after the bombs fell and the original fallout is like 60years or something close to that so where does it fall

F4 is set a few weeks after F3 - Todd Howard, and NV definitely takes place after F3, but not sure the time frame their.

2277 is FO3.

2281 - 2282 is FNV.

Caesar mentions the East BoS in NV. I am thinking he fought Lyon's, and Caesar obviously won. He also states how NCR is his toughest match so far. That would be hilarious if Obsidian did that on purpose, having Caesar destroy the East Coast BoS lol.

There's no way he would've reached the east coast. If anything, he might have been referencing the Midwest BoS. But I don't think he would be strong enough to destroy them, considering how much land and how many recruits that BoS chapter gathers in tactics.
Also, wasn't it said that he only captured some scientists, and not fought some big scale war against BoS?

But why would they go west? They have just won a war against the Enclave, so they would need time to recuperate, secure their grasp on the area. Also, Lyons doesn't exactly strike me as the conquering type of leader. I think he would be more comfortable with just sitting tight and giving out water to wastelanders.

Maybe he sent scouts and they found the Legion... not sure really.

It is possible, but I find it unlikely. I mean, Midwest BroS are pretty much right in between the Legion and East Coast pansies, it would be difficult for the latter two to meet without encountering the former.

Askorti everything you just said further solidify's my speculation that it isn't the DC Lyon's BoS division in Fallout 4, and some other faction.

Both are just as likely. Lyon's BoS is basically right there, just a short distance from the Commonwealth, while the Midwest BroS would have to travel quite far to get there. But then again, it's Bethesda, and to them distance means absolutely nothing.

F4 is said to be set after F3 but before FNV.

The set of photos leaked by spanish reviewers showed the time and date on the image of the pip boy. So going off that, it's safe to say that the game will take place in 2287, 10 years after Fallout 3.

Erm, Rotchild already said in F3 that Mid BoS is almost destroyed and only limited to Chicago. (and it was during Lyon BoS journey to Washington)
So Caesar contact with Mis BoS was limited as hell, that's why he only got some of their people as prisoners and nothing more. (and they were pretty uneducated, did not knowing who is Maxson, etc, because they are military regime, not classic BoS)
Also, the old capital od Mid Bos (Vault 0) is pretty close to Caesar Denver, but it doesn't matter because for few decades Mid BoS is pretty small.

Just read it:
http://fallout.gamepedia.com/Midwestern_Brotherhood

Unfortunately, the new regime didn't survive the test of time. As of 2277, the Brotherhood was reduced to a small detachment in Chicago, considered as gone rogue and off the radar of the Brotherhood.[SUP][[/SUP]
Information from Fallout 3 andFallout: New Vegas indicates the Calculator was destroyed and his robotic army was not used by the Brotherhood, as all three endings with the brain donation indicate that the Brotherhood forms a massive, incredibly wealthy, and powerful state. However, no subsequent game, both set nearly a century later, make any mention of the Brotherhood realm.

Caesar controls most of Colorado ("My Legion's expansion has never ceased. Much of the Utah and Colorado, and all of Arizona and New Mexico, are mine."), while the Brotherhood in D.C., one that crossed the continent and would come across Eastern settlements, only mentions a small detachment in Chicago, rather than the massive realm that would spring up in other endings
Reginald Rothchild's dialogue:"There's also a small detachment in Chicago, but they're off the radar. Gone rogue. Long story."

Caesar:
Some of the Brotherhood scribes we captured further East didn't even know the name of their founder, Roger Maxson.

Right, because the Midwest and Lyon's BoS didn't go halfway or across the entire country or anything before. Right.
